I'm a quilter and sewer that needed a larger, but a better priced cutting mat. I also needed something that was easier on my eyes after hours of use. Purchased this through a Deal of the Day, at a great price especially for a Self Healing, Double Sided cutting mat of this size 24x36. I do like the 2 different shades of gray it has. It has Anti-glare which I have found does actually seem to help after long use. It also has the angles (75° 60° 45° 30° 15°)printed.I did use a permanent marker to add numbers in reverse order, under the already printed numbers down each of the 4 sides. These reverse numbers helps me know where I’m at, no matter which side I look to when measuring or cutting fabric.It is large and I do not have an area to leave it out all the time, so I drilled a small hole in one end. I hang it behind a larger shelf I have and you don't see it. This is a good buy,if you need a larger, durable, easy on the eyes cutting mat.

I had no idea this existed! Just as the ad says, this is a "self-healing" mat that shows no wear and tear, after using a very sharp rotary cutter. This is a must when you want to keep fabric flat as possible for exact cuts. I am very happy with its performance when using the rotary cutter. It's really amazing that not a scratch shows, after cutting. I use an ample amount of pressure with the rotary cutter. It is also very helpful to have the measuring grid lines/ruler on this mat.

UPDATE: Amazon took care of a replacement for packaging mishap.I like the mat. It's a good weight, good texture. It is reversible. White with dark letters on one side, gray on the other side. I have a HUGE complaint with the way it was packaged for shipping! It was put in a box smaller than its size which resulted in it being warped. I have had the mat on a table, with bankers boxes full of books on top in an effort to get it to lay flat. Two weeks later after roughly 40lbs of weight, it is still warped! It is extremely irritating to try to cut fabric on a wavey mat. The mats I see in fabric stores are flat and packaged on stiff cardboard. I would recommend buying this item locally to guarantee that you receive it flat and ready to use.

This ARTEZA self healing Rotary Cutting mat is great for all kinds of hobbies. Mine is fine detail modeling. I'm putting together my hobby table, getting ready to work on a 1/200 scale model of the Titanic. And, after that, the USS Arizona. Paper modeling requires very fine cutting work. And, even though a hobby knife works differently than a rotary cutter (which is more like a super sharp pizza cutter) this mat will still work perfectly for me. None of the paper stock is so thick that it requires very much pressure, and I keep all my blades razor sharp. So, the mat will not be abused in this project. It's the perfect work area, protecting my desk or table from any cuts. Five stars.

I like the thickness of the item, also the size is a big help 12 x 18 inches. I ordered black and white color because the black color would help me see the creases and both layers of white parchment paper sheets of 12 x16 when I cut the HEXAGONS to make the snowflake origami of 7 inches diameter. The hexagon has 14 inches diameter and 7 inches sides. The large size makes making the folds easier with my arthritic fingers. I am keeping this because I like its quality and value of the item. It is also slip resistant, so the slick parchment doesn't slide around.

I am using this product with my Cricut Maker. I had ordered the one from Cricut and it kept bowing in the middle. This one lays perfectly flat and is heavier and seems to be better quality than the one made by Cricut.

The media could not be loaded. Just got it today. Opened it and is has a little weird smell but I'm sure it will pass. Nevertheless I am certainly pleased with the size since I'm just starting my hobby in sewing. Perfect for starters. Not too small not too big.I like the feel of it and is has some weight to it that surely will avoid it from slipping off surfaces.Recommend.

This is the first mat I've owned that's not green. I like the dark mat, light lines on the one side and the opposite on the reverse. As is true with other mats, don't spill harsh chemicals on it (like lacquer thinner) on it as it'll damage the mat. I keep mine under a similarly sized, tempered, clear glass cutting board. Saves me a lot of aggravation when cutting things like masking tape.
