fine whiskey good finish not too peaty
I am shockingly biasesd in favour of peaty smoky whisky. However, Talisker is a good halfway house, before you get to the really really smokey Islay whiskies. This is a fine whiskey with a longish finish that I thought was good to sip with whiskey stones, so as not to dilute the experience.

Lovely dram!
Got this bottle for £60 on offer.It's a really lovely talisker.Not as peaty as the more regular talisker offering, but the lighter smokiness allied the the sweetness of the ex bourbon cask makes for a very interesting offering.It's smooth, mellow, lightly smoky, it offers a chewy mouthful and us a real pleasure.The strength requires a little ice or water.

Good Talisker special edition
I paid for this at a good price at spring sale but in my opinion the normal RRP is way too high. It has the recognisable delicious Talisker peat and sea character. High alcohol content gives it better complexity. Drop of water to open it up and enjoy.
