It is a very good system. I was a bit sceptical due to the small size of the speakers but they are very well built and are of good quality. I am using it with a sony STRDN1060 amplifier which i think helps the quality of surround a lot. As others have said the speaker cable inputs can be a bit tricky with the hook behind but its a minor point. All round i am very happy with the speakers. compact. well built. good valiue

Like with someone else reviewing this home cinema system it's powered by a Sony STRDN 1040 Cinema Amp and very nice too it sounds! My only gripe is the satellite speaker mountings are a bad design and a little tricking to get right in terms of tightness!

It doesn't suffer from having too much bass which other speakers do. The remote is basic but has all the features you would want.

Expected a better sound quality
Good build quality. But expect a better sound quality. Bought a Yamaha Yas - 105 for a same price. Very happy with the sound and build quality

Subwoofer's auto standby makes speakers unusable
The subwoofer's auto standby feature means that (a) the subwoofer only activates initially when the television volume is cranked up loudly; and then (b) the subwoofer shuts down intermittently during quieter moments in tv and movies, so that, when reactivated, it makes an intrusive elongated "sighing" sound and then a pop. And then who knows when the unit will switch off again, will "sigh" again, will pop again. Utter disheartening rubbish. Why this auto standby feature cannot be deactivated is a mystery for the ages. So disappointed. JBL should be ashamed of itself. Google to confirm others' similar description of this product.
