‘Plug’ is 1mm bigger than the old bulb
Very disappointing. Bulb is the correct one with the 2 pin type fitting I wanted but the plastic part that has to fit into a rectangular recess in the lid of the halowave is 1mm bigger than the old bulb. As my halowave is a few years old, the plastic surround of the rectangular recess was rigid and able to be snapped off but the bulb does not plug in the whole way. I have fitted the bulb and it is working although there is no way to test if it is getting up to the full temperature. I am annoyed as I bought this unit as JML advertised it as the bulb being replaceable when there are other brands of halogen oven on the market.Old bulb was 29mm, new one is 30mm.

Easy to install and prolong life of halogen oven
I have had many halogen ovens over the years. They have proved indispensable and used on a daily basis but the cheaper ones proved a waste of money because the halogen bulb was too difficult or impossible to replace. The last bulb in the Halowave lasted over three years which is more than can be said for some and replacing it was quite straightforward, if fiddly. I am hoping for at least another three years of use.

Could do better
This is the second time I have had to replace the bulb. JML's are more expensive than others on ebay but because of the connectors it has to be their's. The bulb is supported by two clips in direct contact which get hot so it is little surprise that one has failed. Why is it they do not include spare clips, others do. I had to phone them and they sent new ones 'as a matter of good will' - all more effort than should be.

Easy replacement
My first halogen oven, although by JML had a fixed halogen ring, which you really needed to be an eletician to replace. So I bought the Halowave, mainly because it had an 'easy to replace bulb'This turns out to be the case, installed in less than 5 minutes. However try not to touch the glass with bare hands (carry over from replacing car bulbs) and ensure that the nut showing in the power connector, faces out, not in.

Sick and tired of these bulbs blowing. This is the second one that's failed to last more than a few (6) months of occasional use and it's not easy to replace it (despite what you may have heard as which sole femme has a small Philips headed magnetic screwdriver in her man-drawer, and it's a nightmare if you drop one of the tiny screws). However, the cost -v- replacing the halogen oven with another manufacturer's model makes replacing the bulb (yet again) the best value for money but I am doing so only reluctantly.

Not easy to fit but does the job
Excellent once you install it. I wore glove to fit it. The oven I was putting it in had a screw in the most ridiculous place and I brought a set of magnetic screwdrivers. The screw wasn’t magnetic so a bit of blutak on the screwdriver worked. It’s not easy to fit but once in works perfectly
