ProQCold Smoker Cabinet & Generator - Food Smoker for Smoking Fish, Cheese, Bacon, Nuts & More - Outdoor Smoker

A decent no frills metal box with shelves in which to smoke whatever you desire. The item was superbly packaged...a box, within a box, within a box and every individual item (this is a build it yourself kit) was further packaged safely with more card and paper. There is no way this gets damaged in the post...if there is damage (there wasn't) then it originated in the factory.The assembly instructions are clear enough and every individual part comes labelled to identify it and also has a directional arrow pointing to the top or front of the cabinet. Assembly is relatively straightforward but can be somewhat fiddly initially, as you try to hold panels which are fairly flimsy in position, whilst you try to get a small screw threaded in to the appropriate hole. Once you have a couple of sides in place though it is a bit more stable and becomes easier to work on...should take no more than 15 minutes to put together....the only tool required is a Phillips screwdriver. Just note that the panels are quite thin and can have sharp edges which can draw blood if you catch yourself.Overall....decent enough...not had a chance to use it yet but that doesn't matter....its a box inside which you can burn/smoulder some wood dust....not much to go wrong really.

I bought this as a present for my husband. We have lots of BBQ's and would love to flavour our meat and cheeses (flavoured cheeses are so expensive to buy), so this seemed the perfect solution. It arrived quickly and it was very easy to set up and my husband is loving experimenting with it. Although I am usually the cook at the BBQ's, he wanted to experiment with flavour, so I now feel we are a team on this. So if this is your jam too, this smoker is definitely the one for you.

It just good for your job. If you want to smoke some meat then you need this item. Not to big not to small just perfect

This cabinet is a fine little thingI use my own smoke dust made from cherry and maple you can see the colours in the cheese picture slight reddish/mapleif you have never smoked before don’t mistake the flavours of your own smoking with the artificial ones with the shop bought cheese, your own will be far more intense so adjust your smoke times for flavour requiredthe cabinet is made from the same material as a office filing cabinet and fine for the job just don’t knock it aboutthe sides are double skinned as to hold the racksthe bottom holds the smoking generator also made by pro smoke.The genuine pro smoke generator will produce a smoke stream for more than 10 hourswhere you put the smoke generator the cover above it acts like a smoke diffuser which does work well and the cabinet fills with smoke and vented out at the rear topif you do not have a pro smoke generator there is no reason why you cannot use one of those tubed pellet smokers rested on a tray at the bottom of the cabinet but remember these give off more heat so unless smoking on a really cold day you will need to add an ice tray also note the pellet smokers only smoke for up to 6 hours maxif I had one criticism the manufacturer needs to pack these better

A stunning piece of kit. I love cooking and wanted a new hobby, so after reading mouthwatering recipes I stumbled on the Proq site. You will find a beautiful cold smoking cabinet delivered even earlier than expected. It is stainless steel, easy to clean, 3 shelves (I may buy more to maximise space) and not heavy. Vents under the lid overhang so outside use in rain does not stop play! Make sure you get their smoke generator and wood dust too. I have had it 2 weeks and fit inside 2 salmon fillets, a trout fillet, some prawns and nuts. It is great fun and awesome results even for a beginner like me

I read a few reviews of this and they all said it comes all ready assembled so I was a bit out out when it came in bits and with no instructions that's why I only gave it 3 stars otherwise it would have been more.

This was delivered promptly, I have used it a couple of times for trout, cheese and sausage and am very happy with the package. The included book was particularly useful.
