The MobiWire Tala
So where to start with the MobiWire Tala phone...Initially I had thought about purchasing a one+, but newer models are too expensive and I've decided to break away from iPhone as its a merry go round of constant upgrades. Viewed a number of different phones on amazon/cp warehouse/tech radar etc and went for this over a xiaomi- due to the fact I was more taken by the appearance and its actually quite unique... No one else in Ireland seems to have one.Pro's first- very durable phone, really well built and also an attractive piece of hardware in itself- looks snazzier than some of the higher end models. The phone itself is super fast compared with my old iphone which is a 5, it is quite large also which took some time to adapt to but glad of it now to be honest, great for watching Netflix on the train or reading over different articles and watching vids, haven't had it long enough to test the space but have games, photos and numerous apps on it already and still left with a lot of extra space, The display is top notch and so clear when in apps or viewing photos, really nice and better than I had expected.Cons- only two issues with this phone, first off the camera which straight up isn't the worst but you need to take pics in the daytime and you can get a great photo, night pics or photos where you need a flash just never come out that good. Flash bubble just constantly appears in the corner of photo anytime I have to use it. Secondly is the connectivity to the networks in Ireland- I'm with 3 which would be recognised as a decent network in Ireland and the phone always has good connectivity in the cities Dublin, Galway etc. But when I'm in some of the more rural areas of the country the network is non-existent. Its obviously a network problem with the phone as Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi connectivity is top class wherever available and in truth being disconnected when down the country isn't a bad thing in my opinion. All in all this is a good phone- camera issue isn't such a big problem for me but the network issue could be improved on. I'd definitely consider purchasing this type of phone again and for the few problems I've had with it I still do consider it money well spent. A cheaper, durable yet elegant smartphone than can hold its own with a lot of the higher end more expensive brands.Update- after resetting my phone- not rebooting the phone picked up my network no problem, I now seem to have as good a connection in Ireland as I would with any other mainstream phone. That and the camera were my only minor letdowns when I first reviewed the phone but after the re-boot I must admit I'm super happy with the phone. It may have been my own fault the first time around as I didn't follow the set-up instructions by the manual and just went with the flow when setting up initially following what I thought were the correct instructions on the screen, Very happy with all aspects of the phone now bar the camera- which isn't quite as good as advertised.... Nevertheless, Well done MobiWire- excellent phone for the money!!

A phone as good as you pay for it. ..
So let's start with the pros on this phone:Good battery life, it lasts for a day with heavy use and up to 3 days on light use.Fast...and I am not joking, you can install apps in a matter of seconds,... loading apps very quickly as well.Seems quite strong and expensive. .the back is made of glass, the sides are made of aluminium, first time wen I dropped I said... IS GONE..!. but I have only got some minor scratches on the corners, so quality build for a phone of this type is great. Now let's talk about the bad points of this phone:Sound quality is bad, very bad..the noise coming out of it is very annoying, sharp and eddgy.Again calling volume in very low wen is on maximum.Camera: to be clear about the camera, my old samsung s4 makes 3 times better pictures that this phone, this is no joke.GPS signal: witch GPS?! I could never get a signal on this phone and I have tried many times.Reliability: I don't recommend unless you buy it for a child or like a second phone for games... In less than a week time it crashed 3 times. So what actually happens is that it doesn't take any commands, screet turns white, no response for 20 seconds and after that it restart itself.CONCLUSION : Maybe I got a dodgy one....I have read many good reviews about this phone but the reality is ...you get what you pay for.Don'expect a samsung S7 or a IPhone 6s behind that shinny screen, is not the case.

Dont Waste your money
Steer clear of this phone. I bought two for myself and my partner and initially they worked well with fairly decent specs. But after 6 months my partners started to fail. The battery gets very hot and takes hours to charge and drains fast. She cannot even get a day out of it even when its stored in a locker at work with nothing running. We discovered that the warranty isn't worth the paper its written on. Customer service seem to think this is our issue (we dropped it in water!) They asked for pictures of usb port and indicated we need to send it back to China for testing. This means expensive costs and weeks without a phone. My phone is also starting to show some odd behaviour with the sound randomly muting itself including alarms and only a reboot will get it going. Save your money and stick with a company that operates in the UK where a warranty means something

so I thought I’d try to cover everything as best I can
So There are a lot of reviews on this phone, so I thought I’d try to cover everything as best I can. Expectation – you pay for what you get, so bear this in mind – the phone is ‘OK’ but it isn’t a brand beater, it is quick, we will get to that, but has its limitations.Firstly the phone is fairly decent in terms of build quality – it is plastic and fairly square, so isn’t the most comfortable phone to hold. It is , however, fairly ergonomic in terms of layout, pretty much standard Android button positions. The screen is pretty dull and uninspiring and not very bright. Icons are flat and even with a bit of screen manipulation through the tools provided in the OS, it isn’t the best, although good enough at this price point. Battery life – remains to be seen, but after the first charge, I sat and watched it drop like a stone, from 100% to 79% in 30 mins with screen at minimum brightness and only Wi-Fi on, both Wi-Fi and screen seem to eat battery and you can lose 5-10% in a matter of minutes- I would expect at this rate to get no more than three hours screen on time – compared to my much more expensive OnePlus 5T which gives me 7hours. The Phone is actually not too bad on performance, it’s fast, connects quickly and opens and installs apps at a much faster rate than I would have thought for a phone at this price point. The camera is horrific, in every way.
