Great product for caligraphy
I really liked the 10 or 1.0mm pen. I wish they would sell each size of pen separately. Like a pack of 1.0mm size pens.

Nib is 'crunchy'...
Tricky writing at first, tip is hard and scratchy, but once mastered writes well but then runs out of ink. Will buy again... Only use small nib sizes

Very Disappointed Brooklyn Calli Babe
Initially I was very excited about this Sakura Pigma Calligraphy pens: nice dense black, like India ink, crisp nib-like edge and sharpness to letters. But the #3 pen from the beginning started displaying a split nib look and then all three pens (1,2,3 mm) started going dry very fast. Hugely disappointed!! I’m having to buy additional sets in order to finish up a lettering project I started.

Ink does not flow evenly
I was disappointed because I usually like Sakura pens. The ink did not flow freely, and appeared to "dry out" as I wrote, so the linework was very uneven. The pen points were very hard (I was expecting them to have a little bit of flex). I am not an experienced calligrapher, but I think even if I was, these particular pens would not be to my liking.

Possible manufacturing defect in nibs
I might be suffering from user error, because I typically love Sakura pens, but these did not write evenly at all. Unless I applied excessive amounts of pressure, I would just as often get two lines drawn on either side of the marker than one thick line. It seems as though there was a manufacturing defect in which the tip of the pen had a slight "U" or crescent; which resulted in the edges touching the paper while the center skirted just above.I'm somewhat new to these pens, so I'm willing to take the blame for the jagged edges I'm seeing, but if I'm making contact with the two outside edges of the nib, I feel like the center should be in contact, too.I'm hesitant to use these for their intended purpose in my art now.
