As a small bakery that is now required to track the change in temperature of our pies as they move from the prep room, to the oven, to the cooling rack, then to the blast chiller and finally to the freezer - we were told to purchase data logger (button logger). We had never used one before but we chose the Tempo Disc because of the great reviews.Having used the Tempo Disc device we can assure a future buyer that it does the job. We found it relatively easy to set up though the instructions in the box were minimal. The best way to learn how to use it is to download the supporting app. It's much clearer here how to get it to work.Within minutes of downloading the app we had it working and we loved the Bluetooth element of it as we could track the change in temperature within our pie - every minute - though you can change it to the time period you wish. As the pie was heating up or cooling down we could check the change in temperature in real time.We like that fact you can export the data captured into a spreadsheet and you can create your own graphs based on the this data.We needed a Calibration Certificate for our Tempo Disc - so please note if you buy it from Amazon UK you not be able to get this. As we are now going to buy two more direct from USA via their website - we are so happy with the support given to enable us to do this.Final verdict - a recommended buy - and a bargain at the price as you can pay a lot more from other suppliers of devices like this.

I purchased this sensor for use while walking, skiing, trekking, etc. I managed to misread the advert and thought that the sensor also measured humidity (it doesn't - it's only a temperature sensor) so I returned it for the item I had intended to buy. I've docked one star as during the handful of days when I used the sensor I found that occasionally the data would not download to my phone without having to rescan for the device (even though it was only a couple of feet away from my iPhone and was providing live temperature readings just fine). Other than that the item works works pretty well.

After searching for a long time for a device compact enough for my very specialist application I came across the BlueMaestro Tempo. I was exceptionally impressed by the proportions and ease of use. I downloaded the Android app in advance of delivery. Once the package was delivered it was up and running in less than 60 seconds. Fantastic device. I can highly recommend and will be ordering again. Would have been nice to have the option for more frequent sampling of temperature but once a minute works fine. The wireless range is great in open air but behind a casing or enclosure it does reduce quite a bit.

Great little product. Simplicity itself to use with the app. A very small and neat package that is completely unobtrusive. The data download is clear and easy to understand.

I have several of these units, and this one has not been as easy to connect with Bluetooth as others, I had to reload the software several times and replace the battery before it started to comunicate correctly. It also keeps loosing data and resetting the time period to one second, hence the stops recording when full, I have all the units set to 1800 seconds (half an hour) and only have problems with this unit. If it plays up again in the next few days I will be returning it.

I received this product yesterday and my initial thoughts are that I am very impressed with it. It was easy to set up and link to my iphone via bluetooth with the App downloaded from the Apple Store. Pairing was automatic.The sensor, which came in a protective screw-cap tin and cloth pouch) is small and unobtrusive being around 3cm in diameter and 1cm thick. The current temperature is displayed in the App under the specific device name (it is possible to give the device a custom name). I set the logging frequency to 5 minutes ( 300 secs) and have downloaded the data three times over the past 24 hours (more than I would normally do - I just wanted to evaluate its performance) and I am impressed at how sensitive the sensor is in tracking small changes in temperature - (see photo for screenshot of the graph of room temperature over the past 24 hours). The graph shows the the cumulative data of the downloads and not just the data from the most recent download - presumably until the device is reset - which is what I wanted.Based on my first impressions I have just ordered another two sensors.
