This is a life saver, makes life straight and simple.This one is USB 3 SATA, both sections.The USB 2 is SATA X 1 and IDE X 1.I didn't notice this until I received the product. I did want IDE and SATA, but looking back I prefer having this one, i just need to buy the appropiate IDE to SATA cable, which is fine and easy to do.

I wanted to retrieve files off an old hard drive, and format a new one.

Does what it claims to do. The drivers Apps on the mini disc did not work with Win 10 to well. But it destroyed 2 HDDs of mine so it was coined to the bin!
