I'm very pleased with this product. My pool pump was consistently overheating due to direct sun exposure, but this solution has significantly improved thermal regulation. Since installation— which took less than two minutes— the pump has operated within safe temperature ranges. The product performs exactly as described.

Fit perfectly and protect from the sun

We rarely leave negative reviews and only when there is a significant product shortcoming that we feel should be known. But this item truly is a piece of s.1) Most irritating is that we were sent a USED item. It had grass, dirt, and fingerprints covering the entire thing. When you pay for an item described as NEW, you expect to receive NEW. And you should receive NEW.2) As per other reviews (I know, right?), one of the plastic clips that is supposed to hold the "clamp" broke during assembly in the first 2 minutes. The overall product is flimsy and not good.3) We have a very common and standard size pool pump, but the "clamps" as described do not fit over any part of the pump or plumbing. We currently have the cover just draped over the motor to see if it provides any benefit whatsoever.4) We were skeptical of even trying this cover, but the new pump does suggest trying to protect from direct sun, dust, etc. so we thought this might work. We were wrong.5) We'll see if the cover is able to stay on in its current unclamped state. If not, we will either return it or throw it in the trash to save some time.Good luck.

This item covers our pump; however, it was not designed for our model. The prongs that hold it in place cannot be adjusted to fit our pump, and they are a little flimsy. The placement of one prong is directly in line with the switch, which means the cover has to be removed to use the switch. We wanted something to cover the pump, which this does. Time will tell if it holds up.
