Perfect for Unsweetened Seltzer Cola - Note in Review if yours doesn't' taste like Cola...
For those looking for Unsweetened Cola flavor for your Seltzer Water!Seltzer brands lack "soda" flavors, so I've been looking for a decently priced, UNSWEETENED, cola concentrate for a while. [This would be 10 stars, if it were clear (no caramel coloring)]Tip:Add a few tsps of coffee to get the discontinued Coke BlāK Flavor (though this is plain cola and not Coke flavor, still amazing!).............NOTE: I thought they had changed the recipe, bc all of a sudden a new bottle tasted a lot like a musty lime. I contacted the makers and they sent me a new bottle to be sure it wasn't a bad batch. The new bottle had a tighter seal and it tasted like cola again! The "lime" one had a loose seal causing air contamination, making the flavor turn.

Tastes about right
Kinda of expensive but so are options, comes unsweetened which I though was going to be perfect as I don't like things as sweet as others seem to like, but I haven't been able to find the right mix for me yet

It's not sugar free when you start to make it
The recipe on the bottle calls for 4 oz of the syrup 5 lb of sugar in a gallon of water you can put in two extra quarts of water 4 lb of sugar and two extra ounces of this stuff and you would get closer it's sickening sweet the way it's made you can't stand to make nothing with it it's a total waste and you're not allowed to return it I know why that is they got a product that they lie about and you're stuck with it

Great for flavoring carbonated water
This is one of the few cola flavorings I can find that doesn't come with sugar already added. When added to carbonated water (e.g. from a sodastream or drinkmate) it gives a perfect cola flavor. I can finally drink cola again without having sugar or sweetners!

does not taste like cola, tastes like acid-lemon maybe
I shook the bottle for a while to be sure it is mixed up. I notice that it wants to separate very readily. I mixed it 1 tsp to 10 tsp sugar syrup and filled the glass with seltzer.Again, does not taste anything cola. Taste is terrible.

The Best, most Cost-Effective Way to Make Your Own Cola
I tried a few cola flavors, and I couldn't find a better one that really had a real cola flavor and was cheap enough to save money by making my own drinks. This brand in this size is really worth it.

Long-lasting medicinal aftertaste.
I was hoping to use this to make Cola-flavored soda in my Sodastream, but found this mix to be not to my liking. I initially mixed a small batch, a fifth of a batch according to the directions, but the taste was odd and unnatural with a long-lasting medicinal aftertaste. This Cola flavored syrup left such a weird aftertaste coating on my and my GF's tongues that we were literally at the point of gagging for a few minutes after a few sips. I tried mixing a 1/4 strength mixture (I added in 3LBS more sugar to the one initial pound) and decided that we will not use this product as it does not taste either Good nor like any Cola that we have previously tried.
