More to hold luggage together than secure it
It held my suitcase together when one latch would not latch. The strap can be loosened if you try to when it’s locked

helps deter stealing
it works somewhat, but the baggage guys have TSA keys. has been opened with the key and not connected back together and received dangling. it is necessary, if opened with the TSA key, it has to be closed with the key. this is the problem

Not a lock, just a belt to identify your luggage, and it includes a lock.
The media could not be loaded. I'm about to return this belt, just locked a case (super tightened up) and I was able to remove it just pulling off the remaining strap. I need something more secure to prevent my suitcase to be opened. Not what I was looking for.

The combo lock is easy to reset
This luggage belt was very helpful for securing our bags as well as for identifying them at baggage claim. The combo lock is easy to reset. I would highly recommend this product.

DO NOT IGNORE THE 1 STAR REVIEWS -THIS HAS NO SECURITY VALUE WHATSOEVER!
Before ordering this I read all the reviews and, considering the high number of 4 & 5 stars reviews, assumed that those leaving 1 star reviews and complaining that it had no security value must have been using it wrongly or missing the point. I could not have been more wrong, in terms of securing your luggage this thing has absolutely no use at all. It truly is as useful as a chocolate teapot. As pointed out by others, there is an unsucured free end that can be fed back through the lock rendering its security value as nil. The TSA unlocking facility for the USA may as well not be there, as it would probably be quicker to unthread the strap than go looking for the key. Yes, it's beautifully made and looks great, but the idiot that designed it seriously needs to think again. Could be use to make your bag stand out on a baggage carousel, but then the fact that anybody could open it, and you could find the contents of your suitcase scattered all over the carousel will also make it easy for you to spot your stuff.
