Q: hello , is this Locking Knob fit for serial no , 31892 ?

The Hayward CX900G Locking Knob Replacement fits the Hayward StarClear Plus models # C751, C900, C1200, C1502. The StarClear Plus models # C1750 and C2002 use CX1750G Locking Knob instead.

Q: Problem is the old knob is stuck in the housing. C washer is off but can only pull out less than a inch? don't want to force it too much?

The entire assembly is one piece with a oring - you can knock it out from inside slowly and should not impact anything. It should slide out slowly or use some silicon spray or similar on the inside if you push it back in and than try again.
