All about tea?
Overall quite interesting, but I would have preferred that all the almost half of the pages about tisanes had been omitted. I bought the book because of a new interest in tea, and tisanes are not tea. Otherwise, the recipes are also something to look forward to as I’ll be trying many ideas them

A Bible to introduce you the world of tea.
Most teas, many regions, many habits and rituals. Almost all world of tea contained in a book.

A Curate's Egg
The bad points. It makes lots of unqualified (as in unproven/unsupported) health benefit claims for various infusions that I am amazed are legal to make in the UK. It has 207 pages of actual "information", including chapter heading pages etc. - 60 of these are recipes (not what I either wanted or expected), there are 20 pages of information about infusions that are not tea - tisanes, again, not something that I wanted or expected. A hell of a lot of page space is glossy pictures that tell you not too much, if anything. The good points. It contains around 30 pages of useful and genuinely informative information and pictures actually about tea. It contains around 50 pages, well padded with glossy photo's and some VERY basic information about tea-making (amongst more specialised), about what tea comes from where etc.I thought that two stars might be harsh, but three would definitely be (too) generous.
