ECOSPA2-in-1 D-Shape Toilet Seat – Dual Family Design, Antibacterial, Soft Close, White, Top/Bottom Fix

This is a heavyweight...at over 4 kg it is definitely not flimsy and has a real quality feel.I see some others have said it is unstable but I didn't find any problems. I can only think they either didn't fit it correctly, or maybe their loo wasn't compatible.I fitted it on an Ideal standard D-shaped loo and it fits perfectly using the top fitting fixings. These consist of rubber plugs with threaded metal inserts that you push into the mounting holes in the loo. The supplied screws then go into the plugs which expand as you tighten them. Making sure they are really tight is therefore very important to avoid any movement once you clip the seat in place.I also found that while both seats are soft close the lid is not.

Decent, well made and strong (I'm very heavy!) As easy to fit as any other toilet seat and a handy quick removal feature for easy cleaning. Perfect for toilet training our toddler, he loves it. My one gripe is that the soft close mechanism could be a little stiffer, not as soft close as our previous seat. Not too bothered, we can live with it, but at the price I was expecting a little more quality in this particular area as it was a feature we bought this seat in particular for. Also it's the two seats that are soft close and not the lid, which we knew when buying it. Again, not too much of an issue but would be nicer and a bit easier for the little one to close. Happy with it overall, hence the 4 stars.

Excellent product. Fine for the whole family to use. Reasonably priced.Very good quality and easy to fit (fixings supplied so you don't have to reuse your old ones) with full fitting instructions as well.We fitted it to a new-style loo (D shaped with the new style seat fixings). If you have the older style oval-shaped loo - with the classic two bolts & wing nuts that fix the seat to the pan (and always get all manky underneath) then you need a different product as it won't fit.HINT: The two bolts supplied are far too long so you'll need to carefully measure how long they need to be, then chop them down to length with a hacksaw. Not hard but just needs a little care.NOTE TO SELLER: why can't you supply the correct length of bolts? They need to be just long enough to sit on top of the fitting and screw down into the supplied fixings. The length supplied is 4cm too long, and fouls the ceramic below the supplied fixings unless chopped to length.

Hate to leave a bad review but the design is poorly thought out. The loo lid is not soft closing, only the seats, so lid could trap little fingers.The 2 seats don’t stay up when lifted back, meaning an adult man has to hold seat up while urinating, which means leaning forward, which is not comfortable. Therefore a young child cannot do a stand up wee with this seat on his own.So all in all, bit of hassle for not much use.

Easy to install, although I spent ages trying to remove it to alter the position... would have been helpful if the instructions actually stated that the silver oval is a release button for the whole seat!No matter how tight the screws are fitted, it still seems slightly loose and move a little as you sit down.I would not call this a soft close seat at all.The child’s seat does close slowly but seems to be more because it’s a stiff hinge. The adult seat and lid slam shut... very annoying.It does look good, but overall disappointed especially due to the high cost of it.

There is not enough time in the day to write product reviews so I seldom do but I felt I had to review this product as the poor earlier reviews almost put me off buying it. I am so glad I decided to ignore them and buy it anyway as in my experience this product is excellent.The product I bought was supplied by Plumbtap. I ordered it on Friday at lunchtime and it arrived the next morning - Saturday. When I unpacked it I recognised the blind hole fittings as I have used them on a different toilet seat in the past. They are necessary when you cannot get underneath to the other side of the fitting as is quite common in modern toilets. There were also fixings for if you can get to the bottom. I fitted the toilet seat quite easily as I had used these fittings before. It is a bit of a faff but a bit of patience and a cross head screwdriver is all that is required.The toilet seat fitted my toilet well, it was white, not off white as I had worried it would be reading another review. It fitted securely, is sturdy and all the seats stay up when you want them to. My 2 year old toddler took to it straight away and it will give her the independence to go to the toilet with slightly less supervision. The toddler seat we had been putting on our standard loo seat used to slip about and she had to be put on it, as if she tried to climb on it herself it would move. This has solved that problem and she is really happy using it.

Great product and well made and much better for my kids than the over the seat options. Both the adult and child seat soft close as well as the lid. The customer service was fantastic, unfortunately the first seat was damaged in transit but the replacement was sent very quickly and conveniently. Would definitely recommend this company and their product.
