It’s a great smasher for burgers. Got the extra wide one for huge burgers. Smooth bottom is perfect for flattening burgers.

I chose this press to hold bacon flat in the skillet, smashing burgers and because it's stainless, I can toss it in the dishwasher. This is a nice press for holding bacon flat in a skillet or smashing burgers, but it doesn't seem to have enough weight to help very much in searing a steak if that's what you're hoping for.. Other than the weight, my only real criticism of this press is that the edges of the press are a sharp 90 deg. They won't cut your fingers, but plan on breaking the edges with a file or sandpaper if you're planning on using it in a skillet to prevent scratching or gouging your nonstick coating.
