This laser pointer is amazing!
I was very tired of spending money on weak, crappy laser lights that require special batteries when I searched Amazon for this product. The reviews were good, and the price was good, so I bought it. I was not disappointed. This is a large laser, about the size and shape of a mustache trimmer, and it requires a single AA battery. I am ecstatic that it does not require a watch battery, and I don't care at all about the size of it.I turned this laser on in broad daylight, with sunlight shining in the room and my overhead light on, and both the laser and the flashlight showed up bright and clear. The previous laser I bought from Walmart was barely visible, even at night. Finally, I took this outside at night and watched my dog chase it around the back yard (it was hilarious), and it showed up clearly for at least 50 ft, but probably more... I'm not good with distances. The flashlight also shows up bright and clear at night, better than any actual flashlight I have bought. This is a great product for a great price, and I'm very pleased with it.

Two Happy Kitties
For the longest time I wanted a laser pointer that didn't use stupid tiny EXPENSIVE batteries. I couldn't imagine that a cat toy had not come into the modern age to use rechargeable batteries. So I came to Amazon to search precisely for that. I was pleased to find this 2 pack that we could use the rechargeable batteries we already had. About a year ago my hubby found a tiny black kitten (barely a week old and her eyes and ears were still closed) in our yard who had fallen or been dropped in a stack of tires where the mama cat couldn't get to her. If he had found her an hour later she would have died of hypothermia. It was a hard and fast lesson to learn how to be a surrogate mama cat. We named her Kitt (short for kitten) because we feared she may not live. But now she is a year old and the most playful cat I have ever had in the 30 years I've had them as pets.Due to a chronic illness that has left me bed bound most of the time with low energy levels, it can be a real challenge to keep up with her activity levels. She was instantly in love with this toy the moment she first saw "the red bug" as we call it. Between my husband and I we play with her two to three times a day with this toy as she joyfully runs up and down the length of our small house. She loves bouncing all over our bed to chase it and will continue to run after it until she is out of breath. She literally knows the sound of the laser pointer being picked up and will dart over, ready to chase it.Then there is Moose, our 10 year old, black and white lazy tubbalard. He was also a foundling in our yard along with his two siblings that ended up with my sister. Even when he was a kitten himself, he was a lazy kitten. He would only swat at toys if they moved right in front of him, even the laser pointers he would only dart about 2 feet to go after them if he was feeling really energetic. He will do ANYTHING to be petted. He would rather be petted than eat. Even with his long hair he is still a big boy with a lot of muscle. But at about 14 pounds it's not all muscle. So it has been utterly entertaining seeing him learn how to play from his little sister. He still plays the ambush game with the laser dot, but he's the most active I've ever seen him and it's hilarious. He's like a fluffy bodybuilder cat running around, eyes wide, playing like his 1 year old sibling. For my husband and I it is really fun to use both lasers at once to get them both dashing around.Even the flashlight function came in handy a couple weeks ago when our power went out unexpectedly. These were certainly well worth the purchase.

My Cat Hated This
Purchased these because our vet recommended we encourage our overweight cat to exercise more by chasing interactive toys. The product is exactly as described- not super heavy but good for the price and it was easy to install a AA battery and turn it on. Our problem is that the cat absolutely hates it. She was intrigued by the little red dot for about 2 minutes, after which she decided it was terrifying and fled into the hallway. No amount of cajoling or logical reasoning will convince her that the red dot is not trying to murder her. 5 stars because technically she could get the same amount of exercise if we chased her around with it, but I don't think that's a fair price to pay for a "hot" body and a "healthy" BMI. Real cats have curves, imo.

Best laser pointers I’ve found so far!
My cats LOVE laser pointers. I’ve tried buying a few online but wasn’t happy with them. But these, I love. The laser dot is very vivid and my cats can see it super clearly. It also comes with a flashlight mode which is neat. Seems very sturdy as well. The best part is that they use AA batteries, so no need to go or and find special tiny batteries for them.

Great laser pointers! The best I've ever had!
So happy with my purchase! The laser is really powerful the flashlight is really nice to have. I love how you can just replace the battery with a Double AA. The little strap is nice so I can hang it up. I have one hanging by my back door because I use it to get my dog to come in the house. She likes to bark like a maniac at the neighbors but she loves the laser pointer and she will follow it back into the house and stop barking. My cats love it as well but they cannot play with it if she's around LOL! I have used the flashlight to spot things under the couch it's nice and Powerful. I would definitely buy these again, It's nice having a spare!

Nice that I don't have to mash a button constantly ...
Bought this as a laser pointer to entertain my cat. Nice that I don't have to mash a button constantly and the fact that it doubles as a flashlight is a bonus. I may order more just to have extras. You can probably get cheaper units on Ebay but the old style momentary contact units are obsolete. These are smaller, easier to use, and serve an additional purpose.

bright laser pointer!
These are great! I got these for my husband and I. We do a lot of projects together, and this often culminates in funny misunderstandings about what we're referring to, or pointing to, especially when he asks me to help with the cars. These are really very bright laser pointers with the advantage of having a built in flashlight. Additionally, they are compact with a nice wrist strap. Easy to hold. They only take 1 AA battery, but that's not included, so be sure to have some on hand. All in all great little double pack!

Better than expected.
I got these as laser pointers to use as cat toys, but was surprised they also work as flashlights. The flashlight is very focused, like a spotlight. I'm half-tempted to paint a Bat symbol on one to make a mini-Batsignal.That the laser pointer and flashlight can be turned on and stay on without having to continually press a button, is a relief.
