Solid Minimalist Option
A true minimalist, no drop boot that is very lightweight. Like other reviewers, the back of the boot rubbed the back of my ankle for a while, but that has stopped as the shoe is more broken in. I do find that it shows water stains more than my other work boots, so I would recommend a good waterproofing before wearing them.

Great purchase
Super lightweight. Super comfortable. Price was affordable for a well made boot that is holding up well. Thin outsole is very comfortable but you will feel the occasional big rock. Highly recommend.

Excellent hunting boot. Needs refinement around heel area.
In the never-ending battle for management of body heat, stealth and keeping dry while hunting I decided to give these a try due to the low-profile heel and sole construction.I hunt from the ground. I'll never be found sitting in a tree or blind. Stealth is a top priority. Being able to interact with the ground through feel will greatly improve one's ability to remain silent and undetected. For example, if you are keeping your eyes on the herd of elk, moving when only their eyes are not upon you; feeling the stick through the sole of your boots before committing your body weight onto it will prevent you from breaking said stick thus disclosing your location. These boots do this quite well, while having more traction than a crepe-soled boot. This boot also offers a large amount of ankle support, and flex. All checks in the right boxes for traversing uneven ground. This is all offered in a true-to-size and lightweight product. However, there is one major drawback in my experience. When properly tightly laced, due to the layered construction of the back of the boot; these boots would constantly pinch the back of my heel quite painfully. This is obviously less than ideal in a boot when it is not uncommon to cover 10+ miles across uneven terrain on a back country archery elk hunt. I would assume an extra pair of socks would alleviate this issue, but would take away from the ability to interact with the forest floor. I suppose a lacing them up less tight could also help; yet again taking away from the ankle support many non "road-hunters" desire.Overall, I would recommend these boots to anyone looking for a quiet and supportive ground hunting boot. Just make sure you also purchase some moleskin for the back of the lower leg, just above the ankle. For the price, I would expect there to be some drawbacks. A quality hunting boot with this much going for it could easily be found for twice the price.

Requires break in, but overall fantastic!
The break in period on these boots is REAL. Took me about 3 or so weeks to be able to wear them with normal boot socks without pain/discomfort. You're achilles and ankle bones will thank you for wearing double socks until they're broken in. Now that they're broken in, they're fantastic. Super lightweight and super comfortable. Huge fan of the added space in the toe box and the fact that they're zero drop. Will definitely buy again!

Decent design, fell flat on specs, execution.
Reviews said to go up a half size so I did but shouldn’t have; returned for my normal size. Also no need to go for wide unless you have very large, wide feet. Otherwise there is plenty of width in the normal size for your feet/toes to spread naturally. The barefoot feel and 2mm drop is very good and they are lightweight. Biggest drawbacks are: the excess height/space in the forefoot, I had to add another insole; and the excess tongue material that bunches up; and the excess material around the ankles, unless you have large ankles. If you have heel rubbing issues (I did not) the military jack is to put them on then get them soaking wet and wear them dry. Not a good military tactical boot, ok for garrison wear.

Too Small - Smaller than a SAME size boot from same company
I am very dissatisfied with my purchase. This is my first time buying from an American company and the boots are quite pricey, but I was willing to pay because it is hard to find good boots designed for the actual, natural human foot and which will not weaken the feet with unnecessary support.I bought a black pair, but having read reviews that these boots are labelled poorly for size and that I should order up in size, I was worried about the fit, at 7.5 wide. The black pair were a little snug, but I was pleased with the fit and ordered two more pairs, in brown and green, also in 7.5 wide. I wore the black pair in as I waited for the new ones to arrive. When they did arrive, I found them tight, but hoped that they would stretch with a little with wear. Now, either my feet have gone up in size, or these boots have actually shrunk!I must conclude that 7.5 wide (US) is actually about a size too small, with the brown Belleville Minimill boot, though it was about right for their black Minimill boot. Order a size higher, because that is what I wish I had done. The fit at the heel is too loose but the toe box is actually TOO SMALL! Not enough space for my toes, they have to be forced in bent when wearing the shoe.Overall I am very disappointed about this sizing issue, because apart from that I like these boots very much. If only they were not too small - they are expensive and I have read many others complaining about the same issues I have had.As it stands, these boots are a useless waste of money to me.I'm prepared to swap if anyone has a pair too big.
