Oktava MK-012-01 MSP2 Factory Matched Stereo Pair with Cardioid Capsules (Silver)

I was very excited to receive 2 sets of these mics for a total of 4 mics to use throughout my studio. I've heard great reviews from youtubers and musicians, with many of the reviews praising the mics for having great noise performance. I'm not sure what has happened since those reviews, but the mics I received all had terrible self-noise and interference pickup. They have a significant boost in low frequencies, resulting in boomy and muddy sound. I recorded tests of these mics in 2 different rooms (both acoustically treated) using 4 different recorders (Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro cinema camera, Tascam DR100 MkII portable recorder, Behringer U-Phoria 404 HD, and Mackie Onyx 16i20) and all of the recordings had these issues. I was hoping these would be an upgrade to my Audio Technica AT875R, but instead I've returned all of the Oktava's and purchased more of the ATs. The 875R's have cleaner and stronger signals with no audible interference and natural low frequency response at a much lower price.

The media could not be loaded.  I got these mics for recording Classical Guitar (nylon strings). These mics give a very full and detailed sound, which is a huge difference from using my phone camera or cheap USB mics to record.I did a good amount of research specifically for good mics to record acoustic instruments and many people all over the internet recommended these mics (Specifically, one of my favorite guitarists recommended them, Uros Baric).The Oktavas are very reasonably priced compared to other brands of equal quality.
