Great product
They are a great product that works well and lasts a long time. My last set lasted four years outside year round until they started to have issues. Not too bed!!

Very nice, with a caveat
This is a well-made safety cover. It's designed well and made well. It works well -- all with a caveat. If you have a power cord that matches the round holes on either end (may cords will fit perfectly, I'm sure), then this should be a great cover for your use. HOWEVER, if your power cord is one that is formed by molding two encased wires into a single cord (gives you a cord with the diameter in the shape of an "8", rather than an "o"), you may have an issue with the waterproofing function of this case.Worse is the use case in which you have a perfect fit ";" shaped cord going in to a case that's hanging vertically with this cord going into the bottom, and the "8" shaped cord going into the other side of the case, which in this use case forms the top. And, yes, I'm writing from experience because this is the use case for which I bought this case. The problem, which I feared and then watched it happen, is that the case will let water in through the top because the "8" shaped cord does not form a perfect seal with the case. Then, the bottom "o" shaped cord does for a seal with the case on the bottom. Now, your case has created the worst of possible scenarios (much worse than not using a case at all). Why? As you likely figured out a few sentences back, the water comes in the top and simply builds up inside the case, immersing in a pool of water the two cables that you've joined together --- and doing so right at the connection point. Yikes! You might be tempted to ask why I didn't simply hang the cables such that the round "o" cable went into the top of the case. Sadly, this was physically impossible with my use case. If I'm the only one with this use case, then carry on...If there may be others, it would be helpful if a few rubber gaskets were sold with the case to increase the likelihood that both ends of the case could be waterproofed for a range of sized and shaped cables.Other than that, it's a great little case at a reasonable price.

Plastic hinge splits after about 4 years of outdoor exposure
It has done well in keeping my extension cord connection dry from the elements but after about 4.5 years the plastic change has split wide open. Just something to note. I think that is respectable lifetime for plastic. But they could have probably used a more weather resistant plastic.

Must have for my motorhome!
Kept losing power in my motorhome because of cord getting wet when it rained. I did end up putting a bead of silicone around it to make sure no water got in. Been using it for almost a year and have not lost power once since.
