After seeing the bad reviews I was hesitate to purchase but since I like the design of the case I decide to give a try. The installation is the major part. I put the phone closely to the case and carefully insert the chip so I don’t have the broken chip issue. You just have to be gentle and put in the correct angle. The case is light and Matt finish it looks very elegant. After fully charged the phone it starts to charge my case and this spare battery can recharge my phone fully 1.5 times. So far so good. Love it

**UPDATE** December 28,2018So I sent an email from the company LAQUEEN within 2 days, even though it was over the holidays.They apologized for the failed cover and asked me for the order number so that they could immediately send out a replacement to me. I sent them the number and Iook forward to getting the replacement. I'll also take photos of the old and new units when it arrives.Their ad said 1-year replacement and it looks like they are standing behind the product that as promised. There was no additional warranty available from square trade when I bought this so I'm really happy that they honor their word (I've had a couple over the years that haven't).I'm not fond of products that fail, but it happens. The most important thing to me is that the company steps up in that case. For that reason, they are at 4 stars for me!!! I'd give it a 5 if it hadn't broken in the first place. If the new one lasts longer, I'll change my review it to 5 stars and call it a fluke. Good job LAQUEEN!!**Old Review**Well I bought even after seeing negative reviews. I figured that these folks were exposing to moisture or taking it on and off a lot (wearing down the port) overcharging, putting it on wrong (at an angle) etc etc.NOPEI put it on properly the day I got it 4 months ago. I charged only when it was drained every couple of days and for no more than 8 hours. I was very gentle with it, never let it get hot, cold, or around moisture. I never took it off the phone because It worked perfectly until last week.Now, it charges to 4 lights but will not charge the phone. All cords work fine in both devices but the case will not charge the phone. I tried my friend's battery case and it charges my phone fine.It worked to the end of the initial warranty period and died. Lesson learned. I won’t buy another battery case without an extended plan :(.

This is my second time purchase. I had mine for 4 months and I liked it, it's a great product,very light weight. My bf's battery has some issue and apple won't exchange it for free. They are charging $149!!! I rather just let him use this case instead lol. when you put on the case, you have to SLIDE it on and off, you can't pull your phone out or of course it will break. Love it !!

Although slim and light the specific product I received was charging when plugged into the wall but it wasn’t charging the iPhone. It was an amazon warehouse deal so I guess that explains why. There were signs on wear that justified it failed on someone’s usage and then got returned. There also was an ugly metal plate glued on the outside of the case (signs of usage with a magnetic car base) which I initially removed prior to checking if it worked without damaging the case.

Very happy about this new case! I spend a lot of time on my phone for work so normally I have to charge at lease twice everyday. Many times I am stuck with the power outlet on a phone with my clients... Have to give this case a five star.First off the bat, the case is thin and chic, and honestly lighter than I expected.Very simple to plug and unplug. After using for almost a week, I am very satisfied about the power it got. Finally I don't have to worry about running out of battery!

It worked great for the first week, then I noticed the charging piece became super loose even after my every attempt to me very gentle with removing and placing my phone in the case. Today, not even a month after purchase, the charging tab is basically detached & now will not charge my phone at all. I’m afraid to try again bc the piece may get stuck in the charging port of my phone.

Worked like a charm and I was so happy, however within 2 months the power cord just kept falling out of the battery port. I tried everything but it stopped having the secure snap and therefore I had to just junk it. I wish you could fix the problem because it was most excellent charger case I have owned until the connection stopped.

Love the case and how thin it actually is! Thought it was going to be bigger but my expectations where blown away! This case works well and charges my phone up pretty fast. I did have a problem with the case charging after about a month but I contacted the seller and they shipped me out a new one! Very satisfied with the product and seller!!
