Read this to understand what you are getting...
These are actually somewhere between a 4 and a 5. I have a 2011 BMW 335ix and one Daytime Running Lamp went out. The dealer wanted $80 to replace the lamp, really? They wonder why people avoid dealers at all costs. Anyway, how hard could it be and I'll upgrade at the same time. So, I bought these thinking 80W should be enough to light it up.-Install. In all it took about 15 minutes. I was lucky. One of the beauties of German engineering is how much crap they can fit into 2 square inches but when you have to work on them, well... The DRL's are under the hood (not behind the wheel well like many BMW's) and behind a twist out cabinet. However to get into it you need to remove the coolent overflow, two 10mm nuts. Then you turn the old bulb out and install the new one. Fortunately, there's enough room to jam the converter into the fixture and close.-Start-up. Amazingly once I start it up no error code! Do anything out of the norm on a BMW and you always prepare for the dreaded error code. Not this time.-The look. Well, they are white and not amber but if you want it to look like the new LED displays, you'll be disappointed. As many have stated, the outer ring get's little light. I think this has more to do with the design of the reflector than the actual light output. After all, it was designed for a halogen bulb. I attached a few pics so you can see what I mean. The pic of the halogen was taken inside my garage so it was pretty dark. The LED pics where taken outside on a bright day. Overall, it's still better than the halogen look.Hope this helps you decide. If so, please hit like so I can know.

Bright and fast
These lights are crazy bright and really easy to install. I put them in in 10 minutes. The key is to lower the bulb in base first and angle the bulb into place, even though it says not too, and hoist the bulb into place using the cord. It goes in easy and then you just have to twist. Im 6'3 and have big hands and even i could do it fast. The inner ring is brighter than the outer but it looks great!

like one of the reviewers has noted
My rating is not for the product itself (no complaints), but the complete and utter lack of documentation from the manufacturer on the installation process.Couple of points:- This is NOT a 10 min installation, like one of the reviewers has noted. This took me ~ 3 hours all included.- The installation is NOT simple, it's basically impossible to get the new bulb in once you're taken the old one out. The right side install is way, way harder than the left side.Installation details:- You'll need to remove the front wheels first. If your vehicle came with run flats, then you'll need to arrange for a jack. And a 17mm tire iron.- Any old jack will not do. You'll need a low profile jack.- Remember to use a 2x4 section between the jack pad and the lifting point on the car. You'll damage the plastic otherwise.- You'll then need to remove the pastic panels that then give you access to the lighting console.- Refer your user manual for the exact procedure to replace the bulb. And yes, you'll need a Torx head driver.- You may notice that the intensity of light in the outer ring is low. This is because you will need to ensure proper placement as described by the manufacturer on their website (http://store.ijdmtoy.com/BMW-H8-LED-Angel-Eyes-Installation-Tip-a/527.htm)Suggestions for the manufacturer:- Please include *some* documentation with the package. There was none (seriously) with the shipment. Not even a spec sheet.- Please include an install time estimate, and required tools.- Please include documentation for nuances regarding placement of the bulbs.

Flickers when starting and stopping
I installed these tonight. First it doesn't take hours to install nor does it require removing the wheel and the manufacturer does provide a QR code on the box for instructions (yet the instructions gloss over the hardest part of the install and instead focus on the way stuff).Installation takes some time because getting the lights into position and getting them locked into place takes time. I got it working by dropping the back end of the light in first and then guiding the front into the hole. Trying to guide the front end of the light into the hole first is probably impossible. Then once you get in the hole you have to fiddle with the orientation to get the tabs to line up. I got smarter with the second light by making a line on the back of the light to indicate the top. After plugging it in though and hitting the lock and unlock on the fob I noticed that the lights flickered upon start and stop. It also doesn't gracefully shut off rather it goes from about 10 percent to no light immediately. The quality of the wires and connections is pretty low. I suppose it will hold up though.I am not sure if I will keep them. Spending about 50 bucks more will get a flicker free setup.

Super Bright!
Really bright! Easy to install (as long as you’ve done it before and know what you’re doing then it’s relatively simple) BMW didn’t make it very easy as it is to get your hand into that tiny spot where the bulbs go. Thanks iJDMTOY!
