Solid product, good app but not cheap
Opted for 32 amp model to take advantage of rebate from our local utility and it charges many times faster than level 1 and works fine as an overnight charger for single car. For our car we get about 10% per hour so needs all night for full charge but 5-6 hrs covers our typical daily needs. It would probably be inconvenient if we had 2 cars but fortunately for us we only have 1 EV (our other cars are hybrid and ice). The connector is beefy and looks like it will hold up. I like how you can wrap the cable around the charger itself and we don’t even use the holster. The app is straightforward though it only allows you scheduling and override. Our cars app does too but the Enphase app works better.

Non-ideal wire size
I have an existing enphase system and got an EV. Wanted to stay in same eco system for charger. It's crazy how the price jumps when you go to the 48amp or 80amp version. Like double anyone else but I bought anyway... I go back and forth on being smart decision be cause it's not really a design Enphase did. They bought another company and are using that old design. So paying a premium really for just wanting to stay in said ecosystem. That side, the hardwire versions use only 8awg wire! That includes the 60 and 80 amp versions. It's insane because the 80amp one for example you have to run #4 or #3awg wire to legally use, yet they use 8awg for the pigtail. Seems very unsafe... I personally swapped mine for some #6 I had. Voided my warranty doing I'm sure but rather not burn my house down or have other damages... even #6 isn't legal for 80amp but I got the 60amp so it's at least safer for that. Not sure why they don't see least use #6. It fits fine....They have a new model coming out in 2025. Smaller and better but no eta.Con on this one besides poor wire choice is it can only step up or down in 25% steps to match solar. The new TBD one will support much better at 1% I hear but with no true ETA I couldn't wate.Overall, if you want to stay in one app and have solar from Enphase this is your option...

Excellent integration with your Enphase solar system.
The charger works great. The Enphase app allows you to charge only when producing excess solar if desired which maximizes solar usage. I installed a 50 amp breaker in my box and ran 6/3 gauge from my panel to where I installed the receptacle. The charger was easy to hang and the QR code synced right to my Enphase app with no trouble. This is a must have if you have Enphase inverters and solar with an electric car.

Avoid it
Really disappointed in Enphase. We wanted the. Charger to integrate with our solar panel system - seemed like a cool idea. First, they shipped us the wrong one as they put the wrong sticker on it for Amazon which we found out halfway through the install. When we got the right one, the charger worked for about a month then started faulting out requiring we reset the circuit breaker every couple days. Most unforgivable was Enphase tech support who sent us on a month’s long wild goose chase as they blamed anything and anyone but the charger. They actually tried to place the blame on our brand new Tesla which was laughable but still required we take it in to Tesla to confirm. Shocker - it wasn’t the car. In the end, after providing mountains of evidence the charger was defective, they sent us a new charger which we had to pay to reinstall ourselves. Finally working fine. Terrible customer experience. Does it integrate with the solar panels? Yes. Is it worth it? No. Go with a reliable brand. When this one dies, it will gladly be replaced by a Tesla Charger.

Little pricey but just right for my Enphase ecosystem
Delivers all the features , speed of charging and built quality , as expected of an Enphase product. Fits right into my Enphase PV and Battery setup albiet a little pricey but still good value for money.

Not useful for smaller solar setups
I purchased the Enphase IQ50 to try to minimize my grid dependence, charging my car using excess solar. The unit replaces a Juicebox charger. The charger will only work if there is 25% of charging capacity available, which for the IQ50 means about 2.4kW excess capacity. For my smaller 6KW solar system, this means the car won't charge via solar with the exception of the sunniest days.Further, the cord on the plug in model is so short, it was impossible to position the charger without buying a costly 3' extension cord. This was not an issue with the old Juicebox model. I'll be returning this charger until models with more granular control become available.

Good charger, I did upsize wire in whip
Looks to be a well made charger, I got the 64 amp version (80a breaker) and was a bit disappointed/worried because the supplied pre-installed whip was only 8awg wire. Code will show for 64 amps 8awg is not sufficient, however I know they get around this because it’s an “appliance” and it’s a short run, but still, it did not sit well with me running a constant 64a through that 8 gauge wire. I ended up tearing their whip out and replacing it with 4awg wire, the biggest the connectors in the unit would accept. I ran 2-2-4 from the panel to the junction box to connect the whip. Was a very short install outside of the changing the whip, and once connected it worked perfectly. Setting up was a breeze, connecting to WiFi was a breeze. The app is pretty slick, and nice to be able to put your electricity rates in to see what each session is costing you.
