I bought these as I used to get the disposable rock salt and pepper grinders from the supermarket, but wasn't happy with the coarseness of the salt and pepper these made.These take up about the same amount of space as the disposable grinders from the supermarket, the top unscrews to fill them, there's a lid on each of them, and taking the lid off allows you to turn the white coarseness adjustment. The mills are easy and smooth to turn and you can get the exact coarseness you want.They have a nice modern look, and the base is made of glass, not plastic. The mills themselves use ceramic rather than plastic for grinding, the salt and pepper doesn't get into contact with plastic, which is good as we now know of the damage BPA and BPS chemicals from plastic can do to us when ingested.I dropped one of them yesterday from about chest height, it fell onto a tiled floor, but to my surprise (and relief!) it showed no damage - so they seem to be well made.Overall I'm very happy with the mills.

Very good set that do exactly as they should. Elegant pieces. German made so would expect this. Great value

These grinders are great, my wife and I have been using them for a week or so now and i have to say.. they look brilliant!The grind adjuster works perfectly and is super easy to set, turning the grinders is easy also, there is no sticking motion just smooth good results.I wanted to give these 5 stars but i couldn't quite, the reason being is that when you unscrew the head from the body to fill them up it is quite stiff and when screwing them back up it almost feels as if you are crossing the thread but you are not as i have checked afterwards and the inner plastic thread is not chewed up.All in all my wife and I think they are very nice!

What I love about these is how accurate the adjustment is. I am a food lover so every time I cool different dishes or salads is very important to pay attention to the amount of salt & pepper I add to the food. Grateful for encountering these grinders & delighted by the looks of it on my counter top 😊

I am pleased with this grinder set. I chose the small size to fit in with my more traditional taste. These are good grinders if you have painful arthritic hands. It is simple and easy to adjust the grinder settings and the grinding action is smooth and takes little effort. The cap is not stiff and pushes off easily with gentle action.

These are very chic and high quality salt and pepper grinders! They’re very nicely designed and are made from nice materials. They are solid glass and what seems to be a nice shiny aluminium top. Would recommend!

These are great salt and pepper grinders. They work well and grinding from the top, they don’t make a mess on your surfaces. We bought them for our motorhome and particularly like the little cap on the top so that if they fall over in transit, they still don’t make a mess

Tried a couple of different designs of pepper mill, with poor results. Most of the cheaper ones use a rather flimsy grinder mechanism which fails quickly, despite claiming to have ceramic parts for 'reliability'. This one seems much stronger - so far so good. The grinder parts are larger and the adjustment more positive. The only slight annoyance is having to take off the cap and replace every time it's used, but I suppose it keeps the contents fresher.
