Half inch gap is too tight for the door sweep.
Excellent quality and recommend, but the door to the floor in the photo is a 1/2” and was too tight and won’t work. So I tried a door that was a heavy 9/16” and still too tight.5/8-3/4” would work nice. Not going to trim doors. Check the opening size and order, did think if one of the door sweeps was removed might work on the 9/16” gap but moving on to a different style door sweep.

Closes the Gap! Cuts the Light: Blackout!
Excellent Solution to Close Large Gaps Under Interior Doors!Interior doors seem to have huge gaps to the floor these days, and in my case, the gap below the en-suite bathroom door let in so much natural light from the bathroom window that the whole bedroom was lit up.A standard single-sided, screw-on solution could not cover the gap, even after drilling new holes near its top edge. This slip-on (more like, “Push like heck”) solution literally fills the gap. It extends to the floor on both sides of the door, doubling the number of barriers to the passage of light and drafts. It’s also infinitely adjustable by just pushing it down to the floor where necessary, or lifting it up to clear higher flooring surfaces. The compression fit means no damage to the door from screws, and the ability to adjust the gap anytime as necessary. You can then take it with you at anytime, leaving no damage to the door.I bought and installed two, and with the window covers I’ve recently added, my bedroom is now so dark - near 100% blackout - that I’m sleeping till Noon….(Good thing I’m retired…!)Highly recommended!

Good Product. Lousy shipping.
The good: Well made product that does what is says it will do. Flexible for different types of doors. The not so good: Horrible instructions. Please start shipping with Amazon. USPS took 11 days which is ridiculous for a product that should be here in 2 days tops.

Best bottom of door sweep
I've purchased several of these in the past and they are easy to install and really foll the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor.

Works so well, I bought two!
The doors in my apt were shortened for carpet at some point and now they are too short for wood floors, also my place does not have level floors at all. I needed privacy for the bedrooms without having to replace the doors. These were easy to cut with a little hacksaw. I’d recommend cutting just a little short because of the door jams. I needed a hammer to get them slid on the last several inches because they grip so tightly! They work well and have enough give to help keep up with my uneven floors.

Huge help for sound
These have made a significant impact on my working from home. This slides under the door to close up the 1.5 inch gap all the doors in our new house have. We put them under every door, our bathrooms, bedrooms and offices. It was fairly easy to install, though I would have a rubber mallet close by to push in on the last couple of inches. Also, be sure to measure from the inside of the door jam. We had to remove and recut a couple of times because we measured the length of the door first- however, once we slid it on the door and closed the door, the door jam pushed it past the edge of the door and it wouldn't close. We also discovered that you want to cut the rubber that runs on the inside of the door in your room, a little longer than the one that runs outside. Make sure you measure each item individually before inserting on the door.

Requires modifications
The product arrived 32 1/4" long, rather than the advertised 32" so it did not fit my exactly 32" door. Now I have to buy a saw and my "easy fix" has turned into a project.
