Great Socks! Best than others so far!
When I found these socks I first of all was happy there is a pair of wool socks for under $15. But to be carful I first ordered one pair of black pepper grey color to test before buying more.I use these socks at home only. I need to warm my feet after I began having poor circulation and neuralgia issues with feet after surviving "big C" illness. So my criteria for a sock weren't to get a sock that performs in a boot in cold weather, but only to warm myself at home. The Wigwam brand turned out to have the best qualities of all socks I tried. When you get them new they are slightly shrunk. When you put them , they will initially cause irritation against the foot skin but this goes away in a day. Most importantly the sock formly applies itself to entire foot, it is elastic enough to constantly have soft pressure on the around the surface area. It is the feature I always look for because when a sock slides against the soles of the feet it can cause sensation of coldness or tickling if your have neuropathy. These socks unlike other popular brands feel as if they have more wool as they are more "prickly". To me this is a good thing, although if you want something in between cotton and wool you may need another brand. Well this one is much better when absorbing moisture if you ever had sweaty feet. I don't think it is an intended feature of the sock, just a property of high wool contentAfterward I ordered the beige color a e dark green and they are all of equal qualityAsk if you have any additional questions.

Great socks - last forever - not over done with stretch fibers.
Socks are made great - and don’t rely on a mass of stretch fibers to fit properly. Extremely comfortable and really keep your feet warm on those very cold days/nights.

May be Too Small if You're on the Upper End of Size Range
These are warm in cool weather, cool and dry in hot weather, and durable. On the down side, they are barely big enough for me even though they should fit a bigger foot. Also, they need to open up the top of the sock a little to make it easier to take off. These have to be air-dried. They shrink in the dryer.

Great socks still well made in the USA!
I compared my new socks with an old unused pair of El Pine socks still in the wrapper (about ten years old) and I am pleased to say the quality is still great! Still made in the USA, still very comfortable and still well made.I wear these with my Altama Jungle boots for yard and garden work and I think they are a great combination. A bit warm here in Virginia in the summer but still fantastic. Glad to see Wigwam still makes great socks! Very warm in the winter and acceptable for summer use as well. Only down side I have found is that the heels will wear out over time before the rest of the sock. But this takes a while and you can darn them for a while to keep them going. Otherwise, outstanding!

Buy them now!
Where to start? They are soft and thick which makes them great to wear with boots or even as a slipper replacement. I wear mine instead of my slippers which tend to get a bit smelly after a few days around the house. These, on the other hand, keep my feet just as warm AND they repel odor. Man, wool is awesome. They don't itch like the wool of old.Just get them already. You'll thank me.

They are finally back!
I have been using Wigwam for 3+ decades. The sporting goods stores don't carry this model anymore. Always loved these ragg wool socks, and very happy to see them again. Thank you Wigwam.

Good Socks, Too Small for me!
They are very good quality socks but with my somewhat wide, diabetic feet there would have to be an extra large which I did not know at the time I ordered.

Warm and fit well
Thick, warm socks! That's what I expected to receive and that's what I got. I wear them with my snow boots and my feet stay warm. My only complaint is that walking on a wooden floor with these is close to ice skating. Very slippery! I should find a less harsh word than "complaint" because almost all of the predominately wool socks I own are slick on the floor.
