Do not buy!
My daughter was given this for Christmas and before the end of the day it no longer worked. Quality is dreadful. The legs clicked in a bad way after first try and then the movement was intermittent before it stopped working completely. Must say we did not try it in water as there is not a proper seal for the battery compartment so I can not imagine the water being kept out. My 4 year old was gutted. She was sold on this by the advertising - my fault for letting her watch commercial channels. Won't be buying any more products from Baby Born. Not even worthy of one star. Avoid like the plague.

rubbish
purchased this doll for my two year old daughter and was totaaly disappointed, it was hard work to operate for a adult let alone a child, was nothing like how easy it was made to look on the advert. the actually doll had to be in a certain position to walk, you had to crank its legs, which i feel wont be long before a young child pulls on the legs to hard and the mechanisium breaks. As for the swimming function if you can call it that, it waves its arms up and down, and makes very pathetic splashes. the doll got boxed back up within half hour and was sent back. Very disappointed as the baby born name is normal very realiable but please dont waste your money on this product. You and your child will be disaapointed

A very poor product
Bought this for our 3 year old grandaughter for Christmas. Got it to walk intermittently. Lots of clicking from the mechanism and it sounds like it won't last very long.I suppose we shouldn't really be surprised as this sort of shoddy imported product is now about par for the course these days.

Batteries + water = not a good idea
My little girl saw the advert for this and desperately wanted it - she got it for her 4th birthday and her delight soon turned to bitter disappointment I am afraid. Firstly, it's not actually very easy to make the doll do what it is supposed to do - ie walk and splash. When you do so you feel like you are twisting the limbs off and it doesn't actually splash or walk very well. The main issue though is durability, for the price this is shockingly bad. Our doll was used twice, completely following the instructions, and then dolly "died". I'm afraid batteries + water is probably not a great idea. The only good thing about this doll is that it comes with cute accessories, but I don't think this is up to the standard of normal Baby Born items, and I think it is one to be avoided - if your child is enchanted by the idea of this, try and talk them into something else, as if it breaks after very little careful use as ours did they will probably feel very let down, as we did. Not recommended.

rubbish
a waste of money, first one I bought didn't work at all, second one worked for about 2 weeks then no further action!! As for other customers the TV advert ensured that this was top of my 4 year y. olds xmas list, but very disappointed as I thought we may be. Total rubbish and I wish I spent my money more wisely. NOT RECOMMENDED !!!!

Didn't work ....
Not a good buy. Straight from the box this was a non-walking, non-splashing doll. It was difficult to understand from the instructions exactly what status the on/off button was supposed to be in, but we tried everything and the doll still didn't do a thing. We've now returned this for exchange.
