This Xfinity type replacement remote is a AA alkaline battery eater. The product initially worked but several days later the batteries were shot. After my third time I gave up and requested a return which was granted. I did try the last set of batteries on a proper battery tester. It showed that the batteries were still good! The battery level was halfway into the “good” area. They were not even close to the yellow or the red area. This tells me that the problem maybe somewhere in the circuitry area. I don’t know. I’m not an expert.

I bought this to replace a damaged Xfinity remote. No instructions came with it and it doesn’t just work straight out of the package. Before I sent it back, I Googled “How to set up an Xfinity remote?” and found directions for setting up this remote. Following those instructions the remote worked. It’s as good as the one it replaced. Voice commands and all the other buttons work as they should. If you need it, this is a very good replacement remote.

I bought this remote for my senior parents, so they didn’t have to use multiple remotes to turn the TV on, jump to apps, or change volume. I gave it 4 stars because the instructions that came with the remote didn’t work. I went to Youtube and programmed the remote in minutes. The paperwork also said batteries were included, and they were not. But the remote works and my parents are happy!

Buttons easy to useGood quality

The remote works as advertised. But it is not new as advertised, but rebuilt. It carries a tag indicating that it was reconditioned.

Replaced the newly supplied remote with terrible buttons with this one. It was easy to setup and use and love the visible buttons.
