Love this series

🧁 🧁 I just knew I would love this one. It’s one of those books where you say „just one more chapter” and you know it will be more than that. 😅Davis and Dakota’s story started really hot but both „shy” about their feelings, they needed 6 years apart to realize that they were meant to be together.The way David cared for Dakota, her unborn son that he „took” as his own, her family, his brothers - he deserves the gold medal. And Dakota, she might have hard way to her happiness, relation with her sister, dealing with her past but she showed she’s strong and…she had Davis as her shadow and an angel.Ohhh, and two epilogues!!😁 First was good but the second one - it was like a cherry on top.

Ok, so this was a first read by Ava and it was such a great book! Why I haven’t read anything by her before, I have no idea! This is the second book in her Runaway Ranch series and it follows Davis and Dakota! I need to go back and read the first in the series because I need Charlie and Ruby’s story after reading about them in this book!Davis and Dakota become friends when Davis comes to Resurrection after being discharged from the Marines. He’s battered and broken and Dakota is there for him through it all. They become more than friends for a while, sneaking around until it’s her time leave to chase her dreams of being a baker. So she goes and leaves Davis behind. Fast forward 6 years, and she has to return to Resurrection after her life goes up in flames, and Davis is the one sent to pick her up from the side of the road. Can they pick up where they left off or does her life cause her to run again?This book was full of twists and turns and there was a sense of mystery and it was just so good! I loved reading Dakota grow into such a strong woman after returning to Resurrection. Davis was always there for her and protecting her even though he knew she could do it herself. The Montgomery brothers were swoon worthy and were equally as hilarious together! I loved how Davis took Dakota and that baby as his own, no hesitation. She was his so that baby was his too! Watching Fallon and Dakota become so close again after Fallon feeling betrayed by Dakota leaving was amazing! I have such a close relationship with my sister so I felt this to the core! I can’t wait to read the rest of this series! Hopefully we get some Wyatt and Fallon in the future!

The way he took care of her and that baby. I swear my heart was going to explode.Dakota was so sweet. She was strong and never meant to hurt anyone she thought she could live her dream and thought it had to be in a different place.The plot of this story was fantastic and the characters growth. My emotions were all over the place. I melted, swooned, cried and felt passion for this couple.Ava Hunter always writes something fantastic and she definitely knows what she's doing.
