After having my pc compromised I installed this "kill switch" on my ethernet cable, I now have the peace of mind that when I am not using my pc I am not "connected" to India.

Had it for 6 weeks; then quit working. Plugged and unplugged to various ports, switch would not turn link back on. Was stuck in permanent off position.

Cable is of good quality and RJ endpoints are well shielded. Switch works great.

I use the SinLoon Cat6 Ethernet Cable with On/Off Switch between my router and desktop computer. I has allowed me to cut down the amount of time between restarting my computer when I have to leave it while working during the day. I just flip the switch to off and answer the phone or meet someone at the door without having to shut down my computer. Then when I ready to get back to work I just flip the on switch and my computer is now live. Switch quit working after 5 months of use. The switch is molded into the cable and non-replaceable. Not worth the $11 I paid for it.

My internet runs normal at over 300 without this switch in the line, and just under 100 with it.

Down Male to Female: The switch is depicted as being located near the male plug. In reality, the switch I received is mounted near the female jack.

Easy on off

Does not work. Initially disconnects cat6 cable from source but then re-connects it. Useless. Bought it to easily disconnect desktop from router when computer is not in use to discourage brute force hacking of computer without having to shut down desktop and reboot it continually. I'll have to find another solution.
