I was keeping my Invisalign clean with just diligent brushing, but I still decided to invest in a Zima just for the convenience and the time save. I think it's worth the investment since you'll need to be cleaning the retainers for the rest of your life. It's compact enough for travel and does the job well. My first machine, unfortunately, broke down and stopped working after ~5months. I contacted Zima's customer service and they sent me a new one. 5 stars for customer service, but docking a star since breaking down in the first place is not ideal and it seems like a persistent issue based on other reviews.

I’ve been using this dental appliance cleaning pod daily, and it’s made a big difference. It’s simple to use and does a great job keeping my retainer clean and odor-free. I love how quick and mess-free the process is—just rinse, place it in the pod, and let it do its job.It feels much more hygienic than just brushing or soaking in a cup. I haven’t been using this for long so I may update this review in the next couple of months should my opinions change. So far though it’s been a really great product. I got it because for my Invisalign because I HATED the extra step of having to brush my aligner every morning especially since it clearly wasn’t getting all the way clean.My aligners are a bit scratched up from using a toothbrush on them for so long, but have been noticeably cleaner, have no smell, and no longer leave a bad taste in my mouth in the morning.I do wish it were wireless since there are no outlets in my stupid bathroom but that’s no fault of the company and I do appreciate not having to recharge or change the batteries on it.It’s fairly small and is actually rather aesthetically pleasing so I don’t mind it sitting on my bedside table.All in all I’m really happy with this purchase.
