Couldn’t be happier
Have been using this nonstop for about three months. Half of that time on shore power, the rest on 12v. Keeps ice cream and frozen food frozen. App works as it should making it easy to check temp at rest stops during travel. The adjustable handle and the fixed handle are helpful to move it in and out of vehicle after grocery shops. It was basic plug-in play, which actually got easier when I installed the app. Very happy with this product for the money. I spent a little extra for the wheels and handle and I’m not confident I could move it when it’s full otherwise (petite female). The only thing I would’ve done different was gotten one size up. Photo taken 3 hours after setting to 38° & 10° driving with the heat on.

GREAT!!!
Absolutely love this refrigerator/freezer. Works awesomely for 16 hours hooked up to my 600 watt solar gen. Freezer was still running when gen got down to 3% and I disconnected it. Run it in the truck hooked to the internal 400 watt invertor and then lasts for more than 16 hours on standby.

Very good portable refrigerator, dual-zone won't keep your ice cream solid.
Very good portable refrigerator. It's easier to control with the app than the on-device controls. I can never remember how to change the right compartment temperature. I wish it had controls for everything but the app is good enough. I would not say it's reliable to use as a split fridge and freezer, it can't keep ice cream properly frozen for example. It's power consumption is excellent, it consumes very little power off my portable battery in eco mode. There is some heat exchange leakage through the doors but I solved that by making an insulated cover with Reflectix and some gorilla tape.

Informed Decision on BougeRV 12 Volt Car Refrigerator (45L)
After thorough research, I decided to purchase the BougeRV 12 Volt Car Refrigerator/Freezer (Dual Zone, 45L) on September 18, 2024. The unit arrived on time on September 30, and I waited 13 hours before powering it on to ensure proper functioning.During initial testing, I used Max mode, and the unit quickly reached 13°F within 24 hours, maintaining a steady range between 12°F and 13°F. On October 4, I placed room-temperature bottles of water and coconut water in the freezer. Within 24 hours, they were frozen solid, despite not being pre-frozen. The unit’s performance was excellent, with temperatures fluctuating between 5°F and 13°F.On October 6, I switched the left side to refrigerator mode (34°F) while keeping the right side in freezer mode (5°F). It held these settings consistently. Later, I tested freezing homemade apple juice, water, and coconut water at different settings (20°F and 5°F), and while they became slushy over 24 hours, I expect full freezing to occur as it did before.I’ve been running the unit 24/7, and in terms of power consumption, my Jackery 290 powered the refrigerator in Max mode for 4 to 5 hours with no issues. I have used the ZOUPW 100-Watt Portable Solar Panel it does not work with the BougeRV 12 Volt Car Refrigerator/Freezer in terms of power. I am going to rely on the Jackery for power consumption while away from home. And I plan to try the app control feature soon. One downside is that the unit scratches easily, so I recommend being careful when placing items on top. I believe a protective cover should be place on top of the unit if you don't want scratches.Overall, I’m highly satisfied with the BougeRV 12 Volt Car Refrigerator and would recommend it to others, especially after seeing several members of my survival group show interest in purchasing one. The customer service from BougeRV was excellent—responsive, courteous, and prompt. Both BougeRV and Amazon exceeded my expectations with fast response times and thorough communication. If you're considering this product, do your research to fit your needs. However, I do feel confident in recommending this refrigerator/freezer for its performance and the excellent support I’ve received.

Doesn't maintain the target temperature when in trunk
I was using it at home for a day before a road trip and it was holding temperature just fine. I bought 55l and set big section to 36F and small one to 0F. At home it worked with no major problems, even though I observed that it doesn't cool down both sections and does it one by one.But during 5 hours road trip it didn't work well to day at least. Big section went to 24F which is significantly below the target and freezer which was supposed to be 0F went all the way up to 38F. I tried to manage it from my phone and change configuration for right (small section) to -4F but it just didn't make any difference. So based on my experience I wouldn't recommend it to my friends and wouldn't buy it again.P.S. precooling was done with all the food and drinks prior to road trip, I left some space from all the sides, especially when vents are. It was hot outside, but AC was running all the time and interior was really cool.Update after a few days of use during road trip:BougeRV support reached out to me and provided some extra information and possible solution, none of their suggestions worked. It still doesn't work as freezer. Their final suggestion was to run it for 2 days! I told them multiple times, that it works at home from 110v, but doesn't keep the temperature in a car. I have a good imagination, but to run it for 2 days in car? Long story short for me it's not usable, it doesn't make sense to have big refrigerator with two different sections if it can't work as freezer and refrigerator. The original review had 3 stars, after the nonsense that I've heard from them and the fact that it doesn't work for me I reduce it to 1 star.
