Khet Eye of Horus Beam Splitter Expansion Laser Strategy Game

I don't usually review much. But I thought I could possibly help someone else find the right item by reviewing this one. These pieces were made for the original game. The new "Khet 2.0" game (which I have) is made with the game spaces smaller. So any game piece made for the original Khet game will not fit into the game spaces on a "Khet 2.0" game board. Everything else about these pieces is exactly what I expected and it is not the fault of the seller that the new Khet 2.0 board was made to different specifications. Like I said, I only hope that this will help someone else like me to steer clear of this if they have the new game board.

I was too cheap to buy the actual Khet board game, so I just took a piece of paper and drew one out. Then I used my GI Joes as the pieces and beamed a flashlight through this splitter to try and construct a bootleg version of the original game.It's actually pretty fun and will provide your family with hours of entertainment. My version of the game I mean, I have no clue about the original since I've never even played it.

With just 2 beam splitters the number of beam paths can suddenly go from 2 to 8+ so this is a great addition for folks that are already OK with simple angles. I think with this add-on it helps to not try to use this is a very brightly lit room, it can be a bit hard after a lot of splits to see the light, and it's important to keep the game on a flat surface because it can fail to align and start 'missing' as the path gets complex if the game isn't on a very flat table.But it makes the game a lot more challenging, more than another order of magnitude of complexity is added to the game.

I got this one so cheap, because there was a defect on it the mirror sticker was folded a slight bit ... I wish the seller would have said that in the description ( I would have still bought it) it still works after I turned the mirror upside down... the game is great though...

Great fun with my son. Getting to know the laser angles and implications of your next moves is a challenge for sure. A minor complaint is that when the laser needs to traverse a long distance (and bounce off many mirrors), the laser starts to fully miss the pieces (and you have to play with how they are seated in their squares to get a clear "hit"). I would glady pay much more for a better aligned all metal version; however, bang for the buck, this is a great game in that it gets to qualify as a toy also! Note, we also purchased the beamsplitters which makes things more fun and more complicated.

I am giving this item two stars because Amazon recommended it as an add-on to the Khet game. However, it's NOT an add-on. It doesn't even go with it. Unfortunately for those who shop early, I found this out too late to return the item. Ouch.

This item is not compatible with khet 2.0! But the item description states this is frequently bought with khet 2.0 and so I purchased item. And despite only costing a few dollars, it would cost even more to return the item, so I feel misled into buying and very frustrated that I am stuck with an item that won't fit into the squares in the game that I enjoy playing. Shame on me for not reading the reviews beforehand.

This would have gotten 5 stars, except it doesn't fit the Khet 2.0 board even though it comes with instructions for it and the Khet 2.0 has instructions for using it as well. It doesn't say any where on it that it doesn't fit the 2.0 board. I had to rig it to work for my son's board.

It was too big for our board - be careful - we didn't know the game came in different sizes!!

Kein stand-alone Spiel!Vielleicht selbstverständlich, aber dennoch: Wie es bei Erweiterungen so ist, nützt einem dieses Set allein natürlich gar nichts.Aber wenn man im Besitz von Khet 2.0 ist, bietet diese Ergänzung tolle neue Möglichkeiten.Der Halbspiegel teilt und vedoppelt somit eintreffende Strahlen, was die Möglichkeiten und Gefahren entsprechend vervielfacht, da bei richtigem Einsatz ein Strahl zu bis zu drei Strahlen wird.Das Set enthält je eine Spielfigur für jede Farbe und eine Anleitungsergänzung, die Variationen der Grundaufstellungen mitbringt.Diese sind genau wie die des Basisspiels gut durchdacht.Wie auch im Spiel selbst sind die Spielfiguren hervorragend verarbeitet und liebevoll gestaltet.Der Preis ist völlig angemessen und für den "Zugewinn" an Spielwert durch die Erweiterung lohnt die Anschaffung meiner Meinung nach auf jeden Fall.

Ich finde es schade, dass diese Erweiterung nicht die gleiche Farbe hat wie mein Khet 2.0, das sieht dann schon irgendwie doof aus, wenn zwei Spiegel eine andere Farbe haben.Die beiden Spiegel passen in den original Karton, das ist ein klares plus.Ansonsten ist es eine schöne Erweiterung, die mit zusätzlichen Aufbauvarianten kommt.Zusätzlicher Nachteil ist der Preis, ich finde, das sind sie nicht wirklich wert, man muss das Spiel schon echt gern haben, damit sich diese Anschaffung lohnt.

Habe die Erweiterung für mein Khet 2.0 angeschafft. Funktioniert so wie sie soll.Qualität ist die geliche wie vonm Khet 2.0 Grundspiel (zufriedenstellend). Preis naja es wäre auch mit 5.99 genug gewesen.Also empfinde ich das Produkt als zu teuer, daher 1 Stern Abzug.Gut finde ich dass die Erweiterung noch Platz im Grundspiel findet
