Classic Brewing, Rich Flavor – A Must for Coffee Lovers
The moka pot is a timeless piece of coffee gear that delivers bold, espresso-style coffee without the need for a fancy machine. I love how simple it is to use—just water, coffee, and a stovetop. The design hasn’t changed much in decades, and for good reason: it works beautifully. The coffee comes out rich, strong, and aromatic, perfect for sipping straight or mixing into lattes and cappuccinos. Cleanup is easy, and the stainless steel or aluminum build holds up well over time. If you enjoy the ritual of brewing and want café-quality coffee at home, a moka pot is a must-h

Great for making espresso for one person
This pot makes enough espresso for 1 person. The larger ones would be better if you're going to have guest over who like espresso. There are instructions for using the pot and making good tasting espresso. Start with using hot water. The time to completion of the coffee takes about 3-4 minutes. The coffee will not boil over but it is important to observe when the coffee has finished coming up into the top chamber, as you will now have an empty lower chamber. One important factor is the proper grind of your coffee. If you have a local coffee house that can grind beans for you, that would be the way to go, if you don't have a high quality grinder. The pot is sturdy, well made and shiny. Easy to clean.

Perfecto!!! 1 Cup = 1.3 ounces….
Let me first set Moka Pot coffee expectations properly for newbies.1) 1 cup is roughly equivalent to 1.2 - 1.4 ounces. So a 3 cup pot can make about 3.8 ounces of coffee. The actual amount can vary slightly depending on your fill level and how well you control the heat in the final 20-30 seconds2) Moka pots are specifically designed to brew fix amount of coffee. Don’t try to brew a smaller portion by using less water or coffee - it will mess everything up. The amount if coffee in the holder must be set to the top, never pressed hard. This level governs the pressure and amount of time the water passes through the coffee. Changing these variables changes the amount of extraction. Also, too little water in the boiler will change, lower, of the water temp of the extraction. All these things, including grind size, will change the result. Just buy the sizes that fits your needs.3) Grind size matters to the brew. Finer grind, more surface area which is good for fast brewing methods unlike French Press. Too coarse, less surface area' weaker coffee. Too fine, like expresso fine, the grinds can clump and the water will not pass through like an expresso maker because it uses much less pressure.4) Watch it closely, and when the liquid begins to pour out, lower or remove from heat, and let the rest stream out beautifully like a fountain as you watch the last liquid begin to run clear. See attached photosPro: this Moka Pot uses a silicon gasket unlike Bialletti which uses rubber. Rubber can get hard and disintegrate over time, and sometimes can leave a foul taste. Silicon is better.Lastly, remember making great coffee in one of these is both an art and a science. It takes patience to perfect the method, including the right grind and beans, but working all that out is part of the fun

Exactly what I hoped for
I had purchased a 6 cup moka pot a few years ago while I was single and when I began a serious relationship I got my partner hooked on moka pot espresso. We are now married and i figured it was time to upgrade to a 12 cup moka pot so I wouldn't need to brew 2 pots for us to enjoy a cup of joe together when we choose to partake in a rich, flavorful, strong cup any day we choose. Its exactly what I was looking for and works just as it should and we also look forward to having this with us while camping as well. I honestly could've gotten a 9 cup moka pot and been happy with the outcome but I do not regret going for the 12 cup.PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS A 12 ESPRESSO CUP MOKA POT (12 SHOT ESPRESSO), NOT A STANDARD CUP BREWER. We like the flavor of the 6 shots each in our home brew and this makes even Folgers taste better than a drip maker does BUT I highly recommend you find a moka ground coffee that you like or great a grinder and make your own from your favorite beans. We love Illy classico but have recently tried Cafe La Llava espresso and truly enjoy the flavor also. This is an amazing way to brew coffee and it's just the right amount of pretentiousness for us to feel upper crust.I only gave it 4 stars due to the obvious smell of machining oil which required washing it 3 times plus 2 dry runs of brewing water to remove the oil before I was able to use it. For the price and size it was well worth the effort.I will NEVER go back to a common campfire percolator coffee pot for camping nor will I use a "pour over" setup which is just a more in depth drip coffee method and more or less just putting lipstick on a pig and calling it a lady. I like my drip Brewer BUT I love my moka pot
