Beautiful and Fun to Use
This is a fun addition to my cookbook library. I would call the recipes sophisticated comfort food. Many of the ingredients are in your own pantry....just add the fresh ingredients. The photography is beautiful. The instruction for preparation is well done and easy to follow.

Beautifully Delicious!
Loveee this recipe book! Everything we’ve made so far has been delicious and fairly beginner friendly. The crafting of the book is gorgeous as well. The pictures are beautiful and inviting, and I love that we get glimpses of the authors personality throughout!

Another awesome trove - great for beginners and long-tenured cooks alike
I love Tieghan's recipies. I've been cooking my entire life and inherited not only my grandmother's cookbooks, but her obsession with them. My grandfather used to tease that she'd sit in her arm chair and read cookbooks like novels. I've learned that a good cookbook does teach you how to cook to the point that you can improvise. Poorly written cookbooks not only have untested or bad tasting/textured recipes, but also don't educate you as to why you're doing what you're doing. Tieghan's recipes come out fantastic. She gives just enough detail to allow you to understand what to look for in texture, finished color, etc. to really nail the cook on everything, and she does so without being overly wordy. Her recipes are also unique without being bizarre or trying too hard. I have waaay too many cookbooks, and those that I have (sixty some) I whittled down and curated after years of owning/borrowing from the library many a cookbook. Of all of them, not being hyperbolic here, hers have the best balance of offering unique recipes that aren't too wild with the ingredient list or flavor. The flavors are profound and phenomenal, don't get me wrong - and that's the point. She doesn't over-do one flavor profile just to have a dramatically different recipe. She successfully balances complex flavors, combinations I haven't seen elsewhere, and does so in a way that makes for a bite that is enjoyable - not confusing. Many of my cookbooks have one or two categories that they nail and then I avoid the other categories (like maybe the desserts are great but the author tried to squeeze in salads and they're all predictable and half-hearted). Tieghan's recipes all come out GREAT. Like something where I am legitimately exclaiming how good the flavor is. She knows how to handle the ingredients she is using. I own four of her cookbooks and they are all worth owning. It impresses me that she keeps coming out with volumes of recipes that are all like "that golden version" of something you'd cook. A lot of my improvising in the kitchen has evolved and been influenced by her. It's surprising again because she's relatively young and I don't think she was a chef at any point (could totally be off base here). She's clearly a natural.I highly recommend trying either this or another of her cookbooks. Doesn't matter what "level" chef you are. Her recipes are easy to follow for a newbie but unique enough to be inspiring to the tenured cook.

Inspiration for your meals
I bought this as one of the anniversary gifts to my daughter-in-law who follows this cook on instagram and makes many of her recipes. We love every dish she’s made so far. When I found out she was coming out with a new cookbook I preordered it pronto. It came out right around their anniversary date. She was so excited and eager to try her recipes. I also brought a book stand to hold the book open on her counter to refer to while cooking. 5 Stars for the cookbook and for giving it to her!

Quick and Cozy as Described
I’ve followed HBH casually on IG and made one recipe from her blog before. This is my first cookbook of hers, I ordered on a whim because I have a picky toddler and am in a recipe rut lately and heading into winter. So I don’t have the same experience/perspective of other reviewers on here who have her other cookbooks - if you do you may feel like them?I was really excited and dog-eared many pages when reading it last night, and quickly chose the cheeseburger pasta to try tonight, since it was a one-pot meal and I had all the ingredients. It was easy, cozy and husband/kid approved. Lots of other recipes look promising, and while these aren’t earth shattering ideas, there are some flavor combinations and inspiration for me, while still keeping it quick.Other items I am excited to try soon (and will update review when I do) are: Maple bacon pancakes, Spicy sesame ginger roasted chicken salad, Sun-dried tomato chicken carbonara, Mom’s cheesy potato casserole (no condensed soup!), One-pot spiced chicken and dumplings, Spicy Thai basil chicken fried rice, Garlic mushroom chicken skillet, Cider braised beef brisket, Saucy spicy cheesy oven-baked meatballs, Salty caramel rice crispy treats, Dark chocolate pistachio cake, and Baked blackberry lavender donuts.

Another HBH Winner
I'm going to start by saying I'm very confused by the aggressive reviews of this cookbook from people who claim to be Half Baked Harvest fans. This cookbook delivers on the name. The recipes are quick and they are mostly comfort food. I now own all of Tieghan's cookbooks and follow her on instagram and her blog. Are some of these recipes slightly repetitive? Yes. The girl gives the internet a recipe A DAY. Of course some of the recipes and ingredients are going to be repeated. Is the font a little small and hard to read in this book? Yes, but it's not something to slam an author on the internet about. I'm also confused as to why people are so upset about her photography as well, she mentioned she had help putting together this cookbook more than normal- so perhaps someone else was taking/editing photos and it isn't her usual style- nothing to give the book a 1 star about.Overall, this is not a health food cookbook, this is not a gourmet chef cookbook, this is an everyday cookbook for people who want to feed their families recipes with whole foods in a timely matter- if that's not what you're looking for... don't buy it....
