I installed these in my shop to protect a supporting post and anchor it to the concrete floor. They have worked out really well.These post protectors are made of very thick, welded steel. They are fabricated beautifully and finished with a thick layer of powder coat. I've used them a bit differently that they are intended so I had to drill a few more holes. It was an ordeal since the steel is so thick and almost hardened.I'm really happy with these post protectors and need to get another set for a second post in my shop. I am using these as corner guards for the entrance to my carport. They are made with very thick and rigid heavy duty metal plate, and are bright yellow. They are not designed to stop a vehicle, but they will definitely help prevent hitting a post by working as visual guides when pulling in at night. Plus the protection from the common nicks and scratches from mowers, wagons, trash cans, bicycles and other stuff that goes in and out.
