Meripex Apparel Men's 5.5" Inseam Elastic-Waist Shorts

Been looking for some shorts that actually look like shorts to wear around town. These are perfect. Got the navy blue ones in size large, I'm 6'1" and 203 lbs, and they fit perfectly.Update 12 March 2019, after 4 months with these shorts:I now have 4 pair of these shorts, and they are mostly comfortable. The ones that "fit as expected" are great, but it seems each set is made different than the others. I have a navy blue short that is really comfy, but the back pocket is shallow and will barely hold my small wallet. I have a red set that seems like the crotch was made too shallow, and it does NOT fit comfortably. My yellow set is the best, comfy, length is perfect, and back pocket holds my wallet.Overall, I really like the shorts, just wish they were uniform in their creation. It's hit or miss for most of them.

I have a few pairs of Chubbies and so got these because I thought they were probably the same but at half the price...they are not the same. The cotton feels thin and cheap and stiff and the cut is weird. May still work for thin guys but if you fill your shorts out you’re not going to like these and they’re not going to last...And I am not necessarily partial to Chubbies. I think they’re over priced and sometimes inconsistent on their dying process for some colors but they feel like quality next to these. I returned them.

I don't like long shorts. I'm a short, chubby guy that watched Magnum PI in the 80s. These shorts fit great if you go one size up like the other reviews say. I'm a 35 inch waist. My pants are vary from 34 to 36 depending on the cut. I got the XL and they fit great.

I give these shorts a solid “meh” on a scale of “meh” to “meh.” They seem well constructed enough but the leg holes are too wide giving them a baggy sort of look. (I’m 6’, 205, 33 waist and ordered large.) Also the fabric is really thick, which I am not a fan of.

The color was great and so was the fit. The one thing I did notice is the Brand Name -- Is upside down on the shorts. I'm concerned that you are selling less than perfect for the same price. I think you need to do quality control on your shorts. I hope it was just this pair. I ordered one pair so far to see about fit, cut and color but now I'm not sure if I will order again.

My shorter than average husband loves these shorts! It has been a chore to find shorter inseam shorts in the stores, and he hates lomg shorts that fall to his knees. These are great. The fit is great, the fabric is great, the price is great. I've already washed them and they look like new and didn't wrinkle. I will buy more of these!

When my shorts arrived, I was at first taken aback by the color. It seemed a much more vivid yellow than I expected. I am okay with bright colors but this was intense. I loved the fit so decided to keep them and to try to dye them. It worked beautifully. I am short and get lost in most long shorts. The 5" seam looks great on me. I also have very muscular thighs and liked that these shorts were roomy without being comical. I plan to order another pair. I am just deciding on another color in my size. Looks like I may have to break out the dye again.

I first bought the XX-Large, because of sizing reviews, and they fit OK, but when I leave the house putting phone, keys, wallet, etc. in the pockets, they fall down due to the weight. In the XX-Large the back pocket is plenty deep for my wallet, but again they fall down. So, I bought the X-Large, and they fit good too, and they don't fall down when I load up the pockets, but the back pocket in the X-Large is not deep enough for my wallet to go all the way in. Very disappointing, because otherwise they would be fine.

I'm on the short side so normal 9" inseam shorts are like long pants on me so had been looking for something shorter.Had never heard of Chubbies so being cheaper than them wasn't a selling point, the 5.5" inseam was what intrigued me as shorter shorts are nowhere to be found here in Australia.I'm really happy with the length but got to say the finish of the sewing was pretty poor. Loose threads everywhere and never sure if it's just safe to cut these off for fear that will start an avalanche of unraveling threads. Would hate for my bot bot to pop out in public or even worse if Mr Todger was to make an unexpected appearance.I decided to buy a genuine pair of Chubbies to compare. These are made in China and the Chubbies came from Vietnam but the quality was worlds apart, there wasn't a loose thread anywhere of the Chubsters, very neat stitching all around compared to these and the quality of the material is much better on the Chubsters as well.So these are comfortable enough to wear around the house and yes I did cut off all the loose threads but the Chubsters will be the only ones to make a public appearance as I don't want to frighten the woman and children with an unscheduled view of the frank and beans!
