BreedGaming Ergo Comfort Grips Case for the ASUS ROG Ally Z1 & Z1 Extreme Protective Gripcase

These Ergo Comfort Grips have been one of the best accessories I've bought for my ASUS ROG Ally Z1 Extreme. Prior to these grips I have, unfortunately, experienced discomfort after a couple of hours gaming due to having large hands and the ROG's device body is just not ideal. After installing these grips, I can hold the device with little effort and enjoy hours of game time.I definitely recommend this product to anyone in the market for a better grip system for their Z1 or Z1 Extreme.Pros:+ Easy to install+ Material feels great on your hands+ Grip can also be used to stand your console up (This wasn't advertised in the product's description, but it's a decent mention)+ Fits as intended even with using the Cooling Modcase made by HandheldDIY and cooling still expels from the case with no issues or temperature increasesNeutral:> Because the grip's size, I am no longer able to use the kickstand from my Modcase, but this is not a deal breaker as I mainly use a docking station during desktop use. This is more of an FYI to those using the same Modcase and looking into this accessory.

I very much prefer to play games through local streaming, whether from my Xbox or my PC. The Ally (as a Windows PC) interfaces perfectly with those other Microsoft platforms making for a very user friendly and stable interaction. The downside for me has always been the form factor because it's too flat for me to find comfortable. The flatness is good if you want to bring it with you everywhere but I don't. I just want to go from my desk where I was working, to, afterwards, literally anywhere else around my house. These grips add quite a bit of bulk on the sides but that's EXACTLY what I was looking for. It feels like a normal controller now. They snap on very easily and have a nice solid fit to where you completely forget they're on there or even that your using a handheld PC. This product is highly recommended if you don't care about whether your Ally is optimized to be 'travel-friendly'

These are so difficult to take off. I always feel like they’re going to break or scratch my rog ally. I don’t know if they will last long term.

First off I'd like to state that I have one of the cooling mod back shells by HandheldDIY as you'll see in the pics. While I enjoy the Rog Ally in its stock config, these grips add a better level of comfort and ergonomics akin to holding a standard controller. Its made the whole experience nicer and fairly precise when it comes to any fps games or controlling the mouse in Windows or SteamOS. As far as cons the actual material is a bit flimsy and has slight flex to it that you'll probably notice whenever you adjust your hold(Also the grips seem slightly loose possibly due to my back shell but it looks the same as stock. Just bigger back vents). Its not noticeable unless you're trying to stay quiet in a silent room. Not a deal breaker for my personal uses. The only changes I would make to the grips themselves though would be in the coverage of the vents. It doesn't seem like its affected temps despite this. Overall I give this a 4 out of 5 stars but I'd give it a 4.3 if I could since it fills out a need for ergonomic grips. Not a bad product.

I have tried so many different grips and even the little silicone ones add too much extra weight. This one feels great and wisely is made of plastic so it does not add any noticeable weight. Truly an extraordinary item.

Even after shorter gaming sessions, I would find my hands either cramping or start losing feeling after holding the console and I didn't want to invest 50+ for a PC or Xbox controller. I happened upon this product and it changed everything. They are durable and sturdy and the grip is natural. Made longer gaming sessions so much easier and my response time in games is better due to the natural controller feel. A must have for any ROG Ally owner.

I wanted to like these and all the good reviews made me think they would be good, but they are not. The "ledge" below the triggers makes you want to rest your fingers there and it feels weird to press the triggers now. Like for full motion it doesn't feel natural. The bottom side feels great, that's why I'd give it a 2 instead of a 1.

Usually don’t leave reviews but this one absolutely deserves it. All other cases or even etsy that claim to improve grip just widens the base for the palm to rest. Doesn’t give you a grip like an actual controller. They concentrate on keeping the overall body slim and rounding out the corners. This adds the depth to the sides so that you grip it like an actual controller. To me, having an actual grip gives me less fatigue and use the ally for longer. Definitely beats others that basically have me force the corners into my palm and not help at all with hand fatigue. Just be careful with installing it, I have a jsaux backplate on and I broke a few tabs when I put it on. Nothing instant glue can’t fix. Was hoping that that the jsaux backplate didn’t have too much of a change but it did. The cherry on top is that I don’t have to look at an offside part of a case above the screen anymore
