What a cool video game. If your child likes playing the spong bob video game then they will absolutely love this one. I like the fact that it's an open world and they can explore. I bought this for my 6 year old grandson and I think I enjoy playing it just as much as him.

A Sandbox open world game where you play as Patrick Star? I'M IN!I love MOST SpongeBob games, so this was a nice change to the familiar gameplay I've seen before. I'll save the parents some time and say that, YES, this is perfect for kids! BUT, your older kids or adults won't find it as fun. Get them Battle for Bikini Bottom.There is fun to be had, but it gets stale very fast. Variety is a tricky thing to get right, and the core gameplay loop just doesn't make that possible. There are some brilliant ideas, especially with the physics-based mechanics, but what could've been fun is just made dull and unsatisfying by just how unfinished they are. Simple things like tuning off an objects collision while held is a common thing that seems overlooked here. (Example) If you pick up a physical hammer and try to swing it around, it will get caught on the scenery, and in turn, the direction you wanted to swing it cannot be met. This can lead to a finicky lack of player control.Voice acting is on point! The cast never phones it in.Conclusion- Its gameplay mechanics needed more thought and work to build an entertaining and satisfying experience that it currently is not. You will enjoy SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom much more.

Before I start, the graphics, music and voice acting are pretty good in this game, those are the save graces of the game, but bad news is this game was really boring, at that’s coming from someone who LOVES ragdoll games where you can break stuff. It’s missing that omf that other ragdoll games have, like odd and fantastical items, randomness, and speed. Patrick isn’t fast to begin with, so if you want to go crazy and lets say turn into a rocket, you cannot. The quests were also pretty boring and I lost interest very quickly, I feel like even a child would get bored with this game in a matter of an hour, if not less. There are better Spongebob games out there, I do not recommend this one.
