For starters I could not believe how well packaged the Funhang Ebike arrived. Lots of foam and zip ties that prevented any shifting or damage. Better than most items shipped I have purchased online. I found when unboxing to open both the top and bottom of the box to make it easy to slide the bike out of its box.Before I started to assemble the bike I first read the instruction book cover to cover. It made assembly that much easier. I also laid out all the parts so I knew what was what. The bike arrived pretty much assembled. The only parts that needed to get installed were the front tire & fender, headlight, kickstand, handlebar, seat & rear cargo rack. It also came with all the tools needed to assemble the bike. It only took me approximately 30 minutes to assemble the bike. The battery was fully charged so once assembled I was ready to ride.Funhang uses name brand components on this bike. Shimano derailleur & 7 speed shifter and KMC chain. Over the years I have had owned other road bikes with Shimano derailleur and shifter systems and they have been extremely reliable. The derailleur also has a protective bar to prevent any damage if dropped or hit.The 48V 374.4AH Lithium-Ion battery is waterproof and can be removed from the bike to prevent theft and can be brought into your home/office to charge and keep warm. Charge time is 4-5 Hours and can be charged both on/off the bike. I live the the Northeast in the USA and it gets very cold, especially at night. If I left it on the bike fully charged in my garage by the next morning I would loose most of it battery range. This way I have full power when I'm ready to ride. Capable of achieving 25-30 miles in full electric mode and 40-50 miles in pedal assist mode but that time would be cut by almost 30% if stored in a cold environment.There are different modes to ride. All shown on the LCD display.1)Throttle Mode: Twist throttle on the right hand grip to power your ride. With speeds up to almost 22mph2)Power Assist Mode: The motor will assist you with a moderate amount of power as you pedal.1-5 levels of pedal assist to suit your needs.3)Booster Mode: The bike will travel at around 4 mph which will make it easy to push uphills.4)Cruise Mode: Hold the throttle until the speed exceeds 6.2mph, then long press the “-” button till the "P" iconflashes on the screen to enter cruise control.5)Pedal Mode: Pedal like a regular bike for exercise.The 1000W peak motor can handle more than your daily commute.The frame is solid. Not light at 55lbs. But the tubular steel construction can handle all kinds of city and some off road terrains. Welds are thick and solid. Step through frame is very convenient especially if you are wearing dress slacks or a dress. The paint is well applied with no runs.The horn is really loud. No excuse for people saying they can't hear it. The front LED light is very bright and adjustable. The only thing that would of been nice is to have a light/directional on the back instead of a reflector. Some other Funhang bike do have it. Being a commuter bike it really should have this feature. The kickstand is located on the rear of the bike so it's out of your way while riding.The front suspension is very good. Riding in the city or side roads there are plenty of uneven roads and potholes. The suspension can handle it. Making for a smoother ride. Tires are meaty and can handle everything from asphalt roads to dirt & gravel trails. Fenders are long and flexible to prevent you from getting hit with debris and water. The disc brakes are very responsive in all kinds of conditions with very good stopping distance. Much better than the "old fashion" side or center pull brake systems.The rear rack will hold a weight of 55lbs. Enough to hold a briefcase, groceries, ect. and talking about weight, it will handle a person weighing up to 300lbs. The seat is comfy and can handle the everyday commuter bumps.The only thing I don't understand is in the front of the bike under the handlebar is 4 screw holes that looks like a place for a nameplate. Unless it is for some accessories.Overall.... The Funhang electric bike is perfect your daily around city or town commute. Comfortable, speedy and a has great battery range. And for the price you can't beat it. A perfect holiday gift for that special someone. You can't miss with this bike. A+ on design and functionality.

This e-bike is awesome!!! It’s a great price. It works well. I got it for my son’s 15th birthday but it would be great for adults too! Everyone in my family wants one now that they’ve tried his!It is a perfectly sized e-bike for tall people/teens. The tires are a lot larger than they looked in photos.The battery is removable so you can stop anywhere along your trip to charge it up again! It charges SUPER quick! It seems to last a while on a single charge. I haven’t clocked how many miles yet, but I know it’s good for at least 2-3 hours of riding!It comes with a derailleur guard, which I really appreciated! I also appreciate that you can change the settings so if you are buying it for a teen, you can prevent them from going TOO fast on it! My husband was surprised with how fast it could get going.*The headlight only has one bolt to keep it facing upward, so it easily loosens over time and starts pointing down, so you might want to get a better headlight and a tail light for extra safety. (But this will work for you initially as long as you bring a tool to tighten it, if you’re night-riding!)I was able to fit an air tag inside the kickstand hinge so that was an added bonus! It has stayed there for a few days now and has not fallen out!It is quite heavy in the box before you assemble it, so make sure you have someone to help you with moving or carrying it. It is easier to move around and doesn’t feel as heavy once assembled. It only took about 2 hours to assemble but it was not difficult.I did a lot of research on many other e-bikes and different types of e-bikes before making this purchase and I’m SO happy we chose this one! I hope other buyers are as pleased with it as we are!

I wasn’t expecting this high quality of a product with the price I paid. I did checked out some bike shop locally, they were charging over thousand dollars for the same quality bike, I didn’t want to paid over $500.00 for just a bike so took a chance and brought this one, wow, was I glad I did, fairly easy to put together, I just watch the video. Good design and lots of thoughtful touches, came with headlights and horns. I Charge the battery and put it back on the bike, followed directions and took it for a ride, everything works, the paddle assist was easy and fun, I only set it on two and the paddling was effortless, not sure how many charges the battery will last, but for now, very happy customer.

A fantastic little bike! Its only a little heavier than a regular bike and its just so smooth to ride. I really like how easy it is to gain and maintain speed when off (and on) assist mode! I leave my gf and her regular bike in the dust with moderate effort! I commute 2.2 miles to work and this little dude handles it no problem and its insanely helpful to use the assist because I am physically disabled with limited endurance. The assembly was not so bad just took awhile but the instructions were very clear and even had videos that I used to double check positions of parts. The headlight is bright and has good range, the horn is cute and plenty loud without being crazy, the brakes are smooth as hell just needed some breaking in and they work better when theyre hot! I did not like the seat though it was very firm and did not have a comfortable shape so I replaced it. The back rack is very convenient and sturdy and the wheel trims/water guards are great editions. I am very happy with this bike

Great bike. But reality check. I fully charged the battery and I rode it 9 miles with some peddling and it was down to 48,4v or about 15% left.You do not really want to push it much lower than that for battery live.The only way to get 50 miles is to push it the last 40 :)Also if you wondering what 374Wh is it is 7.75 AH. This is pretty low.Otherwise it is a very solid bike for the $450 total I paid for it. - Harry
