Flawed in many ways
Support is useless, the device is clunky to setup. The free plug that comes with it has no bidirectional communication and so often doesn't turn on. The device identification is awful and continues to randomly find devices in my house (more than we actually own). My iOS app has now started reporting in two languages.The most useful feature of the device is the ability to identify when you are producing excess solar energy. This tigger would be very useful if it worked with smartthings, wemo or even IFTTT but it doesn't, and only activates the woefully unreliable smappee plugs. Much of these issues could be fixed via software but unfortunately I don't thing smappee has the resources to get this done. Until then this device is an extremely expensive way to record your power usage/generation compared to an owl system.
