We used these over the winter, and they worked great to hold down our winter cover. No issues and they are reusable, we will be using these again. They are heavy duty and easy to use.

Heavy duty vinyl bag.Easy to fill with water because the opening where you fill with water pulls out, giving you more control over the amount of water that goes in. It also comes with a white plug to fill the hole, keeping the bag full and not losing water as the opening is secured. Then you screw a white cap over the plug and push the plug in toward the bag. This makes for a very strong seal!The bags mount and hang perfectly from the grommets on our pool cover. The spacing for the hangers are perfect!. I used two different kinds of hangers. S hooks and carabiners. Both work well, but I personally believe the carabiners provide more security.I would 100% buy these again, without question! Our pool's cover fits the best it has ever fit with the help of these pool cover weighted bags!

Due to the strong winds in our high desert region, we needed a method to prevent our pool cover from blowing away during the winter. We thought that these 12-pack pool cover weights would be the perfect answer, so far, they have fulfilled our expectations. Because the weights are composed of strong, durable PVC and have leak-proof screw caps, I'm certain they can resist extremely cold temperatures. Although the location of the valve initially concerned me, filling the bags with our garden hose was easy. As directed, I filled them to around 3/4 capacity to provide for ice expansion. We added zip ties for extra security and woven the cable through the grommets to fasten them to our pool cover cable. These weights seem like a great solution for holding the cover in place, especially with the tremendous gusts of wind we get all year long, especially in the winter. So far, they have proved resilience and quality construction, and my hope is that they will withstand even the most extreme weather. Strongly recommend to everyone who lives in a windy area!

These pool cover weights are very nifty and definitely help to keep the pool cover in place.I filled them in the kitchen sink with ease.We opted to attach them to the pool cover cable with zip ties (not included) and the grommets seem very sturdy.We just closed our pool today so we will see how they do over the winter.They seem thick and pliable, so it seems as though even if the water freezes, the bag will expand easily without breaking.

Wind always lifts my pool cover over the winter and I have used gallon milk jugs filled with water to help hold the cover down and the recycle them each year.These pool bags came to the top of my list when I saw them for several reasons: thick premium PVC, easy screw on/off cap and plug for easy filling and larger 12 by 12 inch size.It's not yet time to close the pool but I did fill one so you could see what it looks like. No leaking when in the horizontal position on the table.Can't wait to use a more classy option at pool closing this year that I can empty and store easily each season. One of the problems with our pool cover is the wind lifting up areas of it even though it is cable tied down. With these weights it will help keep the cover in place in high winds. The bags are easy to fill but the instructions say not to completely fill them so they will no burst when the water freezes. I think this is a great idea and looks a lot better than a bunch of water filled mild jugs hanging from the cover. I have no idea how long these will last but time will tell.

If you have a pool cover that likes to fly off, these 12 bags seem like they will anchor it down. The bags are a good quality and provide plenty of weight.
