Worth the Money! Rumors are true!
I purchased the Morgan Mahogany. I've been playing guitar for nearly 14 years and have played many guitars over the years, and have dabbled in building own guitars and some minor luthier work.I came across these on YouTube via one of my favorite guitar reviewers/builders. They were comparing their Oragewood to a Martin at least 10x the cost. I researched further and found several similar reviews. I decided to buy one to see if the rumors had any truth to them. After opening the box and removing the guitar from the gig bag, I could tell that the guitar was crafted and setup with care. I've played many inexpensive guitars. Many look and feel "cheap" like they were thrown together on an assembly line. This guitar doesn't look or feel like most guitars that are less than $300. Looking into more detail at how the guitar was actually built and designed, shows many features of more expensive guitars.Surprisingly, aside from some minor tuning, it did not require any additional adjustment/setup out of the gig bag. The gig bag is of very good quality. Orangewood calls it a premium gig bag, and I wouldn't disagree with them. It is very well padded and is almost more of a soft case than a bag. A hard-case would be the next step up in my opinion and this would likely cost about the same as one.I recommend listening to the videos of the guitars being played on YouTube and Orangewood's site. It really does sound as good as it does in the videos. I will not do the guitar justice by trying to describe how it sound with words, but I will honestly say this is my new favorite acoustic guitar for general all around playing. I would and will recommend Orangewood guitars to new and experienced musicians.
