The sat and purred while I used the brush
It got of the matted hair and it is small enough to fit under her chin. Why did you pick this product vs others?:T

Works better than any other shedding tool or slicker brush I've used.
Right there in the title: It simply works better than traditional slicker brushes or those nubby silicone de-shedding tools, and my cats hate it less.A few deep drags against the grain, then in varying diagonal directions, dredge up tons of matted hair, and a few more drags with the grain smooth it all back down and knock loose the stragglers. It takes a while to work your way over a whole animal, but they're much more patient with this tool than with anything else I've tried, they seem the tiniest bit agitated when going against the grain and pulling out a lot of hair, but calm down quickly or come right back for more. It must feel good. My cats' coats look visibly smoother and lighter, and they spend less time grooming themselves (and spitting up hairballs). Can't say much more, than that I absolutely recommend this tool.

Works good but feels cheap
Works pretty good, but feels flimsy. Had a smiliar one but had a bar going through and that one just loosened, i feel this will one day break after so many brushes. I have a rott with a thick coat and it works pretty well for him, like i said though feels flimsy. It removes a lot of hair though and very quickly. I recommend this type of brush for long hair or thick shedding dogs and cats. I also have used it on my longhair and it truly just removed the shedding hair.

Not a fan
I have never used a comb like this. The handle is shiny plastic, which can be slippery when wet. The curves tines of the comb are not sharp, so they don't hurt the pet when touching the skin. When I used on our cat, I was surprised that it seemed to pull the fur a bit and actually extracted some loose fur. One thing to note is that it did seem to pull the fur while being combed, similar to how human hair can be pulled while combing, so remember to be gentle when using. I do see it being helpful in removing loose fur though.

FOTN Dog Brush for Shedding cat deshedding-A big hit with cats
My cats absolutely love this brush. It pulls out unshed hair really easily and does it gently. The big metal brush may look scary, but it's actually a very blunt curve that gently pulls the hair out without hurting your animals. It's about the size of a slightly scaled up safety razor, and the angle of the handle is good for easy brushing.Overall, this is an inexpensive brush that your animals will totally love if they are fond of brushing, especially if they shed a lot and could use some help.

Good for getting undercoat, cat didn't love it
This definitely pulls out undercoat on a long haired cat - the photo if from less than 10 strokes on a cat who is brushed regularly. When I tried it on an actual knot/mat of fur it didn't do much, although it might have been the mat was too small, but I think it will probably be useful for preventing mats in the first place. It's smaller head size is idea for a cat, small dog, or small areas of a large dog like their legs. That said, this is a pretty harsh brush - it pulls at the fur and you can easily end up pulling the skin too, and I think if you used it too often there would be a risk of actually removing more hair than you want. Although the innermost curve of the teeth looks like it has a sharp edge, when I tested it on paper and string it really cut at all so I think that's an illusion. Even so, it does really grip the hair and pull it.My cat didn't love it - she tolerates it for a couple of minutes, but if I try to use it longer than that she lets me know she's done. She definitely doesn't enjoy it like she does some brushes. I'll be using it selectively, every few days, on areas at high risk of matting. It did get some hair off my short haired cat, although not nearly as much. He also tolerated it for a few minutes and then seemed to become annoyed with the tugging (which was less with his short fur, but there was still some). I probably wouldn't bother to get it for a short haired cat.The packaging included what seemed like an unnecessary plastic insert - replacing that with cardboard would be a good change. Otherwise, overall, this is a good tool for long haired cats prone to matting, but might be too intense for others.

Choosy cats chose this
My girl Xochitl is on the longer side of short-haired cats. We already had a deshedding brush leftover from a shiba inu who passed due to old age used on our old man tabby with a thick undercoat, but it was wide with short teeth and she hated it. She also hates the steam brush and the cheap wire cat brush that I don't think works that well anyway. This one she likes. It takes a moment to collect all the hair you need so this product requires patience since it's not as sharp as other designs. But it's very easy to remove the collected hair that gathers in the curved head that's about the size of a human razor in length. The handle is comfortable for the duration of use. It also works well on our other cat Sesame, a flame point with very short but incredibly dense hair. But he is not as fussy about brushing as Xochitl so that's less of an endorsement for the design and more a confirmation of other fur types it works with.

Well designed brush!
My cat LOVES to be brushed. I wanted to try out the shape of this brush in hopes that it would help keep her groomed and shedding less, but she is a short hair kitty, and this brush is designed to work better with long haired cats. For my cat, it mostly collected the hair from around the base of her tail. It is still a useful and well designed brush though, and probably better suited for longer hair cats! It will come in handy during certain times of the year when she is shedding more than others.
