Simple to install, fits without any problems under the mounting bolts of the front seats. Hardware is of excellent quality and so far durable. Height is sufficient to clear middle console and gear selector but 10" tablet on top of mount somewhat obstructs some controls. Actual fitting will vary with car and type of device used. The mount itself is a solid bar of aluminum in a plastic sleeve that takes quite a bit of strength to bend to fit.I use the mount in combination with a 10" tablet for off-road navigation. Due to the weight of the tablet and lenght of the mount there is a fair amount of shaking on rough tracks if used without further support. By carefully shaping the mount to run close along the middle console and inserting something between mount and console to damping the sway (I use a small piece of Styrofoam cut to shape) it works just fine. Stability and strength of ball mount are sufficient to hold tablet even under heavy off-roading.

As you can see from the photos I still have some cable management and a bit of straightening on couch to do but as you can see this mount has no problem supporting this HAM radio. Also I am able to adjust this mount anyway I need to and it remains very sturdy.I highly recommend this product if you need to have something in a place that is a little more challenging to utilize.

I purchase this item with the X-grip mount for my car so I'd be able to have a cell phone holder. Works perfectly is firm. And it's not in the way for my passengers. I highly recommend this if you have a large phone like me and a small dashboard.

I do not love this product, however I can't fault the manufacturer. I wanted something sturdy in my off-road vehicle that did not require any drilling. This fit the bill, except that it actually seems to vibrate worse, because of where it is mounted. The product itself is actually quite sturdy and well made. I have since purchased the RAM suction mount and I am ecstatic about it! It mounts to any flat surface and it DOES NOT MOVE! I use it in my off-road vehicle and then swap it over to the minivan for trips with the family. Awesome! You can easy use it on your desk at the office!

In my discussion with Ram, prior to my purchase, I asked them how stable this was. They assured me it was very stable. Well that is far from the case. Yes, very easy to install, that was correct. But once I started using it, I found it to be quiet unstable. It would shake while driving to the point of not being able to glance at the screen and see anything but a blur. After only a week of use, I had to take the shaft out and file down the clamp part, as the shaft was moving around.

This mount was much better than I thought it would be. I'm using it to mount the control head from an amateur radio. It makes for a nice clean installation. The wife even said it looked good. I wouldn't mount much more than I did as it's not sturdy enough to support the weight of a full radio unless its small.

I just installed this to the passenger rail on my Honda Accord 2005. I was able to run the rod between the seat and the center console, but it does mean that with a passenger in the car, this might get a little "cozy". If I'm commuting alone, then my iPad is at a pretty useful height. The height of this mount means my iPad barely clears my shifter. It took a few minutes to find the best angle without compromising my reach to vital aspects of driving.I've only had this installed for a week, but there is no rattling or movement with the Tab-Tite and my iPad installed in the car. Great! However, a slightly longer mounting arm would help if I want to use my iPad for GPS as it would allow me to place the iPad in front of the shifter and in front of the little round-ish compartment.NOTE: The best way to bend the aluminum rod into shape is to use some clamps. If you don't already own a couple big clamps, then make sure you ask around so that you have a couple to borrow. It makes shaping the rod incredibly straight-forward.

Okay, this is made ok and I'll tell you why. The aluminum rod is sturdy and strong. The hardware and clamps are strong. This mount has a design flaw, it's in the base. You attach the base to a seat bolt in the vehicle, which is also really strong, however the base that attaches the rod to the vehicle is made too thin causing the arm to pick up the slightest vibration and have the mounted device shake slightly. Not the biggest issue but definitely a flaw, trying to use a mobile map while slightly shaking quickly is noticable and annoying.If you have another mount option without this type of base in mind, then give it a shot. Otherwise you may be dealing with a shaking screen or device.

Work great! No suction cups to fall off or block your view... No useless unsafe magnets....can you say dropping the phone then getting into a head on crash....well that's what magnets mounts will get you...No cheap plastic garbage to only fail...

軍用にも使われるRAMマウントですがさすがに剛性もしっかり。競技車の補助メーターの取り付けにつかっています。フレキシブルなアームですが振動で過度にブルブルすることもなく操作にも支障を及ぼしません。マウント側の締め付けねじはインチサイズで締め付けにくいので一般的なM4ボルト＋ナットに交換したほうがいいかと思います。お値段はそれなりですが長く使える逸品です。

The accessories are not complete, so I can only buy the connecting rod by myself. Until my friend bought the same product, I didn't know that it was a product problem, and I was like a fool. Never choose this company

The key point is "18-Inch Rigid Aluminum Rod". There is no bend at all in this. Fortunately, Amazon is taking it back.
