Too futuristic for most...
It's soo Awesome! It does exactly as it says. I personally think that Anyone that says it didn't work properly, just didn't use it correctly. Because to be honest. It's kinda fickle or super sensitive. So if not properly attached. Or if you blowing on it incorrectly. It won't work. It didn't for me at the beginning. An caused a slight headache, especially blowing on it repeatedly. I think I found that I must blow to an area inside of it, not directly on the coil piece. Because now I can work it easily. To the amazement of everyone. Because Noone of course has seen anything like this before. But it's definitely not for everyone because unless it's dire circumstances most won't find the value in it. I am certainly glad that I found one. And appreciate the company for making it. And I appreciate Amazon for allowing it to be sold.

Won't work for iPhone 15 Pro, 16, 16 Pro. In fact, NONE of these types of products work with phones
UPDATE REVIEWWhen you blow on the lighter to turn it on, it turns red quickly. I was very impressed. I thought it worked. But I was wrong. When I tried to actually use it, it didn't work at all. Despite the red. It was just warm to the touch! It turns out that the coil turns red not because it gets hot, but because a hidden red light turns on that makes the coil LOOK RED and hot. Total BS. Doesn't work AT ALL. Piece of junk. The iPhone 16, 16 pro and 15 pro all output max 4.5 Watts out to the USBC.Upon more research, I found that 4.5 watts I no where near enough to heat up a coil like this. In fact, no phone currently out there today can produce enough watts (at least 50) to heat up a wired coil. So the claims made by this product that it works with a phone is completely wrong. At best, this may work with a portable battery capable of charging a laptop. But if you need to carry around a heavy battery back just to use this, what's the point of the portable size?Total scam of product marketing to mention "phones."---------------PREVIOUS REVIEW BELOW-----The iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 16's can all output 4.5 watts of power max through the USB-C. Apparently this is enough to turn this on.But here's a trick to making it work. Once you insert it and the green light turns on, you have to actually blow into it in order to turn the heating element on.

It works!
It actually works lol.Well not on either of my $1200+ Samsung flagship phones. Not the Note 10 or the S24 Ultra. It won't allow the type of current this thing wants bc it wants over an amp and Samsung isn't having it bc of its protection circuitry and such so I just use mine on one of the three power banks I keep on me at work.Illl be buying more

works if phones compatible
so the product DOES work just not with ever phone. doesn't work with my galaxy 23 but when i plugged it into an external type c charger it worked perfectly so depending on your phone it may not work.

Works surprisingly well
I wanted to take a picture of the lighter actually working, but it's attached to my phone, so just take my word for it I guess. The lighter works as expected, gets hot very quickly, and I've lit a Marlboro and an American Spirit with it so far. The Marlboro obviuosly lights up a little quick, but the lighter worked for both. Some people can't figure out the way to use it: plug it into your phone, wait a couple seconds, blow directly down the barrel of the lighter, a quick targeted blow like you're blowing an eyelash away or blowing a hair off the table.I'm subtracting 1 star because little ashy paper fragments get stuck on the heating coil of the lighter, but it doesn't seem to have a negative impact on functionality, just sub-optimal. Additionally I think there might be spots on the heating coil that get hotter than other spots, so a little rotating of a more dense cigarette like American Spirit might be needed. Not a deal-breaker at all, just a niggling detail.

Super cool- wish it worked for longer
The lighter worked great for a few uses, and then suddenly stopped working. the green light still comes on and it attempts to heat the coil but it does not work effectively enough to actually use the lighter.

Excellent device that works exactly as described
Works exactly as expected and described. I powered it from a portable phone charger and had no issues starting it up with a quick puff of air after plugging it in. Also, no issues traveling on a plane! I was even able to light some kindling for a campfire Which is extremely helpful. I like being able to carry a heating element with me that does not need fuel and can be powered by something I already have with me anyway.
