Simple, reliable and cuts well
I have been using this saw to cut bottles and glass shapes for fusing. The extra height is allows cutting through most common bottles. This saw is a masterpiece of simple yet effective design. When I first looked at diamond band saws I was concerned about the lack of a pump and water feed. But the sponge system works well to keep the blade wet and is much simpler. The blade tension mechanism and tracking is a simple spring with a single adjustment (which was spot on from factory). The components are of plastic or stainless steel, so there is no concern about corrosion in normal (i.e., not saltwater) use.The blade supplied seems to be of high quality. There is no apparent wear after what I estimate to be about fifty to a hundred linear feet of cutting. Replacement blades are available at reasonable prices. In fact virtually every individual part on the saw is available directly from the U.S. manufacturer. The unit I received was supplied with an extra set of guides and sponges so it will probably be some time before I will need replacements. But it is good to know that they are readily available when I do need them.

Must have saw, maybe
Having the right tool for the job can create and enhance success. This saw is a perfect add on for delicate and non agatized stone. Yes the saw will cut hard stone but you’ll wear the blade down at a faster rate using this saw aggressively. I put the saw through a tough test cutting different hardness varying roughs; Montana Agate will be slow to cut, but if you are gentle on the blade pressure it will preform ok.My take is, I will use the saw for slab detail cuts and softer materials. The wetting design works well, all the parts are nicely designed and fit perfectly. The unit arrives in Very sturdy packaging, so much so that it was noticeable.Easy cleanup, efficient water cooling, ABS durable plastic base.I should mention an issue I had with my bottom wheel needing to be adjusted, the blade was running off the bottom wheel.I purchased two blades after my test and decided on what material the saw is suited for.Simple, well built, usable for quick detail cuts and cab forming with slabs. This is a zen product, simply yet enhanced by great design and concept.

Perfect tool for cutting wine bottles.
I have the C40 Tall. I like the way the water is delivered to the band (via sponges) as it keeps the water in the tray with less splash. I've cut wine bottles as thick as 5/16" and can easily cut bottles up to 4". You can cut an average size wine bottle in less than a minute without forcing.
