These tea cups are well designed with comfortable handles for our 80+ year old hands to hold. I like to brew green tea or Chinese tea when I make stir-fry for dinner. These cups hold an ample amount of tea to accompany the meal. I think tea tastes better when served in these clear cups. The cups have a deep well on the foot which would hold a lot of water if washed in the dishwasher. (However, they are so easy to wash I would not even want to put them in the DW).
