Bought for my son for a field trip with rain in the forecast. Thin material so he could stay cool but dry at the same time. Easy to fold up and stick in a bag as well.

Decent looking jacket. Medium is loose enough for me (155 lbs, 5'10") to fit a fleece sweater underneath. Have not had rain to test waterproof quality. Tested by splashing some water on the sleeve. Beaded up and ran off the outside, inside stayed dry. But seams are the most vulnerable area, and have not tested. Effective strong wind blocking.Compared to brand name jackets, which are often available at good discounts, I found this one lacking. Specifically,1. No waste cinch cord. Cold air can get under the bottom. Less sleek fit. Does have a hood cinch cord.2. No outside zipper cover. Makes it more likely rain will enter through the zipper.3. No arm pit vents. Even "breathable" fabric with pit vents gets clammy if you are exercising, so not a deal breaker.4, No inside pocket.5. Very thin and lite weight material. Makes it handy to pack for emergencies, but expect less warmth factor.6. The fabric and plastic zipper are stiff. There is a bulge in the middle front of my jacket (not my pot belly) that will not relax.7. No hood size adjustment strapA caveat about ALL modern "breathable" rain gear, not just this item. Do NOT expose to high temperatures (like leaving in your car on a sunny day), the inside layer will disintegrate.
