Excellent For 11x17 Prints
It was hard to find a b&w laser for 11x17 prints. This one works well and is a bit cheaper than comparable models from other major manufacturers. Comes with one tray, which cannot accommodate 11x17, but the bypass does. My 11x17 throughput is rather low, but frequent. So, using the bypass is fine. If you need more, you'll need the extra tray. But, that increases the height by about 4 inches. It's already quite tall without that, so be prepared.Can also duplex, with an optional unit that mounts on the back. This option is basically mechanical (not electric), so it just snaps on. But it does add a few inches of needed space on the back.Output from a sleep state is fast, as specified. Output quality very good. If you need it,it can print 1200 dpi, and it's fairly fast at that density also. Most people would not need that though. Runs quite, not very hot. Average quality, mostly plastic, solid closure of doors, trays, etc. Good price point for an 11x17 unit.Overall, very happy.

So far so good.
Just hooked it up and it's working fine. The driver that came with the machine didn't work.Downloaded an upgrade that works OSX 10.10.I use 11x17 paper a lot but really didn't want to pay for additional trays so I'm ok using the bypass as a lower cost option.Hope there's a way to get it to take from the bypass automatically when there is paper in it.Haven't figured that out yet. So far so good.

I have 3 of these in my office. Pic Shows 2 extra trays but they are not included. Wish they would fix that because a tray is around $300. Heavy Cad/Engineering Depts. printing thousands of pages per week. No complaints. Prints come out fast and look great. 11x17 printing makes this a must have in this office. Toner is pricey but its good for 20000 plus sheets. That a penny a page. No aftermarket toners that I have found. Maintenance kit is easy to find and install. Very few Jams or complaints makes me a happy IT guy

A GOOD PRINTER... IT IS MISSING ONE STAR BECAUSE THE TABLOID(THE MAIN REASON I BROUGHT THE MACHINE) FEED IS MANUAL ONLY.
